Did not have to queue for long & was very pleased with what I brought. A very cheery & positive ambience. Managers clearly know what they are doing. Wendy Cunning is an outstanding manager who really works hard & leads by example. Naomi has a phenomenal work ethic & is clearly management material who has the talent & application to rise as far as she wants to career wise at Waitrose. Sam is exceedingly thoughtful, hard working & has an incredibly bright future ahead of him. I know plenty of folk who shop here regularly & my late mother Sheenagh Reynolds was a massive fan of all things Waitrose. My Dad loves the cafe - especially the All Day Breakfasts which are exceptionally good value for money. The layout is very impressive & products are easy to find and there are always polite, intelligent & welcoming staff who are eager to help customers in need of assistance. All in all it was a huge blessing when Waitrose opened on the Botley Road - even the car parking is free !

Nice place to shop but because I'm of a a ethnic minority I found myself being followed around by staff and when going to self check out found that the Male staff was constantly trying to see if I'm scanning all my products. I do not wish to reveal who I work for but I work for a local government body. Will not be taking further action but rather observing how my next visit turnouts. Will keep updated

This place is going downhill. Qued for 10 minutes at a register while there were two closed lanes that they could have opened. After the long wait they almost didn't let me purchase a bottle of wine because they thought I was buying it for my 30 year old girl friend who didn't have ID on her. We've switched to buying groceries online through Ocado. Much more convenient.

Well done Waitrose, lost another customer for good. At the self-checkout with my partner, she gets asked for I.D. for one of our items for which we're refused purchase, even though I have my I.D. and she has her Oxford Uni employee's photocard. Spoke to the manager and asked her to use a bit of common sense, which she resolutely refused to do. Walked away feeling humiliated in front of other customers, with the ludicrous insinuation made with their imbecilic stance, given I'm a man in my 40s and my partner is clearly well over 25, let alone 18.
