Love the classes at this gym! Evelin’s cycle burn class is amazing and it is a spin class I actually look forward to each week! Her motivation and dedication to each person in the room gives the class a personal touch and pushes you that but further. Also, the yoga calm classes are perfect and just what I was looking for in terms of yoga. Nissa is a great instructor. Thank you both!!

5/ 5

Virgin Active Pitt Street is one of the best gyms I have ever been too hands down. I have tried numerous other gyms before but they just don't hit the mark like Virgin does. From the minute you enter the gym, you are greeted by a lovely and bubbly front of house team which sets off a positive tone to your gym session. The array of gym classes are second to none and there are classes always on from morning to night. The instructors for me is what gives the overall top rating. They take time in getting to know you and motivate you throughout your class. They show that they truly care and they help guide you to ensure you have correct form and that you are steadily making progress. From Evelin with Spin classes to Chris & Kristian with Grid, to Jon & Xavier with boxing to the overall wider Virgin Pitt Street team, you guys are AMAZING! Thanks for all your help and support and thanks for helping me love the gym and love my fitness journey!

I no longer go here as I don't work in the city anymore, but hands down the best gym I have ever bee

5/ 5

I no longer go here as I don't work in the city anymore, but hands down the best gym I have ever been to. It started on Day 1: I was never pressured to sign a Contract. In fact I was given the opportunity to take it home, read through it and return when I was ready. This I've come to realise is the hallmark of a company that thinks about what is right for you AND them, not just them. The trainers are incredibly friendly, always helpful and the cafe stocks up on healthy (and tasty) snacks. There is so much variety in the gym - from rock climbing, swimming to playstation cycle bikes and then your (not so standard) classes and exercise equipment. They also have sleeping pods when you just need a little bit of sleep in the middle of a hard working day. The sauna and spa were also great to help unwind after a long day in the office or after a hard workout. I've never been a fan of gyms, but this is the only place that kept me coming back day after day (and no, not just for a nap!). I think what makes this place different is that one day you go there to work out, another for a cheeky nap, another to relax doing yoga or similar. You can make your days as unique as you want them to be and there is no pressure just to be on a machine sweating it out all the time (as good as that may feel). The female bathrooms come kitted out with hair straighteners, dryers, etc. which makes it incredibly easy to go for a workout before heading for a night out! Tip: Try and avoid peak hour to ensure more availability of facilities and freedom of movement.
