Genesis – Cairns

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good range of classes to choose from.

I was in Cairns for a week and was looking for a gym. My gym in NSW is a genesis gym so I gave the Cairns Lake Street gym a go. I bought a week pass and visited three times. I took the body balance, pump and core classes and was very happy with the standard of instruction. I also did my own workout and found enough space/equipment for the weights and stretches I do. This gym worked really well for me - great and easy communication, good equipment and excellent instructors. Very friendly place too.

Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Very friendly. Plenty of treadmills.

So unfortunate that the company backing them only cares about making as much money as possible! Stay away from anything Belgravia! The personal trainers and the classes were amazing and we were planning on staying on and training with genesis! Due to being charged when we were told we would be charged on different days through email on multiple occasions had to cancel to avoid being scammed out of hundreds of dollars! The gym told us it was head office who handles it and head office told us it was the gym who handles it! The woman who I spoke to acted like it was not her who made the mistake and then I later found out I was speaking with HER the whole time 🤣🤣 entitled and extremely rude to us!!! We now owe over 600$ between the two of us, when we only signed up for a 6 week challenge. Nobody tried to help us, simply just kept adding on charges! We are having medical and financial issues and missed so much work due to COVID can barely pay rent, wow, what a company!

Love the coaching zone. Alice is amazing coach. Will push you to your limits, encouraging and always safety conscious.
