Incredible value. Got the room on Boxing Day for about £80. Staff were superb and everyone was more than keen to help, genuine with a smile. There's not much in the local area but the hotel offers plenty in terms of facilities and Morrisons across the road helped us out, it seemed like a good option to stay here and get a ten minute taxi into town. The only slight nag was getting kicked out the pool at 45 past when it said it 'closes' on the hour. Would definitely stay again.

My fiancee and I stayed here for 4 nights while in Edinburgh. It was a very good home away from home. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved the shower. We enjoyed having some drinks at the bar when we'd return from a long day of sight-seeing. Renata was so kind to us and made great drinks and great conversation. The hotel also has a gym, pool, whirlpool hot tub, spa, and two restaurants, but unfortunately our schedule was too busy to enjoy those amenities during this particular stay. Besides the comfort and cleanliness, what makes this hotel outstanding is the staff. Every time we walked through the lobby, we were greeted by a friendly face here. Allen and Martin at the front desk were there at night to help us with any requests we had. They both were very personable and particularly helpful in recommending some fun things to do in the area during our stay. We had absolutely no problems, everything was wonderful. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. We hope to see you all again soon!

A great place to get away & use their facilities. I have used their meeting rooms and also nice to get a cup of coffee and work there most of the week. The gym is good but cannot comment on that - very friendly staff and always there to help

Great location 15 minutes on a bus from the city centre, busses are very frequent. Our room was clean and spacious and quiet. We requested that it would not be cleaned on a daily basis but if we had wanted it to be it could have been. Breakfast was plentiful, the staff were on the ball constantly replenishing coffee etc. They were always cheerful & polite. We will definitely stay here again but hopefully for longer next time.

poor experience, will not go back, didn’t feel like a hotel no telephone in the room!!! and no one answering the main telephone number of the hotel or the chatting service! no extra blanket, no slippers or a robe, the temp in the room was high (hot) we had to turn on the AC the coffe cups were dirty! plus I was surprised to see the receptionist bringing the extra blanket to the room, thanks to her but where is the room service.. breakfast was ok, limited options however staff there were very nice

Cannot recommend this hotel enthusiastically enough, I will always be looking out for Village Hotels from now on. The main asset of this hotel, even considering the facilities and value, is the staff who were absolutely lovely! If you're thinking of staying and don't mind a shirt bus journey into town, do it, you won't regret it!
