Don’t ever trust this agency. My move in date was before yesterday, I was promised that I will get the flat cleaned and ready to move in. However, I got it super dirty and it’s not ready to move in at all! Don’t ever trust Ashley. Keep in mind that they will NOT answer the phone or respond to your email. So disappointed from them!

The window in our house has been permanently stuck open since the day we moved in. I reported this immediately, as this meant the house is always freezing cold and it's rained into our living room several times now, not to mention it being unsafe for us. A contractor contacted me a week later to arrange repairs. On the day they were meant to show up, no one came. I've been trying to call and email the property manager for our house for 3 days now to find out what is going on and have heard nothing back. Not even an email to apologise for the situation. I finally managed to get a reply from the contractor, who said that they didn't come because the landlord hasn't confirmed the quote they sent to Thornley Groves because he is abroad. It would have been nice to hear this from Thornley Groves, or have any kind of communication at all. This blatant disregard for their customers is honestly astonishing. Not to sound dramatic, but we are freezing and at risk of break-ins, and NOTHING is being done. This issue was not even noted in the inventory, even though the window was open when we moved in. Avoid this letting agency if you can. They will play nice until you move in and then ignore you as soon as everything is signed.

Steve is the most rude agent who work’s for this branch. Awful telephone manners, I don’t appreciate him shouting and lying and then trying to cover up. You would think management would check reviews and work to provide better customer service and even train staff but now looking at all the awful ratings that branch has, I’m not surprised. Will be taking this to forward to head office to the director in a long winded email, something needs to be done regarding this branch, and especially the staff they employ. Called to buy an apartment but now completely put off and will move my entire portfolio elsewhere. We can’t all be wrong 1 out of 5 stars says it all!!! Well done Steve you just took part in losing business for the company and all because of your rude behaviour.

Worst agency ever! We had Holly Jackson as our property manager and she never ever picked up calls or messages. We had many issues at the flat, some resolved in decent time, some absolutely absurd. Our intercom didn’t work and we let them know repeatedly, yet they didn’t fix it for the whole year. When our washing machine broke it took them 2 weeks to get a new one! When we left the property (much cleaner than we actually found it) it took Holly a whole month to get our deposit back to us, when they are supposed to send it within 10 days. We called her everyday and she said she’s trying to reach the landlord in order to confirm, however, after a month we got fed up and called the manager letting them know we were going to open a dispute. The manager immediately called the landlord and they sent us the money within a few days, so our property manager was most likely doing nothing. They don’t hesitate to charge extra for anything (references, renewal, etc) absolutely do not recommend! Find someone else who actually cares about their tenants!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! Leasing with them would be the worst mistake you make. They took average of 2 weeks to sort out urgent repairs during the tenancy; worst was when I moved out .. they arrange property survey by their own employees (instead of arranging an independent survey team) to assess damages to the property. He clicked pics of some 7 grains of rice on the floor from different angles, plus labeled all the pre-existing damages like grazed door handle etc which were there before I moved in as damages that I caused and took away nearly 30-35% of my deposit.

I have just finished dealing with Samantha at Thornley Groves who dealt with the process of letting a building in Manchester city centre. From start to finish, i had such an amazing experience dealing with her and Matthew. They came round to the building countless times to help with the design aspect and offered sound advice throughout. Full credit also goes to Justin and the rest of the team who have filled up the building in no time. Always available, always helping and always with a smile!! They really doing a great job for helping tenant finding suitable property. However, they'll do the best to charge you deep cleaning fees when you left. Especially when checked out of the property, the property is not clean at the professional level during check in but charge tenant £174 cleaning fees for a 1 bed apartment when check out. Even though everything was clean and meet the check in condition.

Excellent service for international students and professionals. Thornley groves are really impressed me since I could find a great property for me and my family to live in Manchester in an easy way. Sophie Stephenson is a great staff and very responsive. Finding accommodation for overseas students with family like me is quite challenging process. However Thornley Groves and Sophie is really helpfull and I find it easy to find a great property to rent in Manchester with the assistance of them.

Very hassle-free experience of being a landlord for the first time with Thornley Groves Manchester. Samantha, Eve and Gabrielle were all really helpful and helped me massively throughout the process. They were all given different roles throughout the process and were always professional, well informed and giving excellent service. Would certainly recommend and use again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We used Thornley Groves when looking for our first flat and their service was excellent in helping us find a place. They made the effort to make us aware of properties as they were coming on the market so we had a good chance of securing it as well as got us a viewing of the property quickly so we could decide on whether to proceed.
