Absolutely stunning venue and fresh food. A good menu of fresh produce inspired by eastern Europe and Japan. Reasonably priced too. They have a range of alcoholic drinks on offer from wine, gin to cocktails. Their brownies are too die for!

Excellent food and the staff / owner was lovely, being very kind. Manchester is currently in tier 3, so we were collecting takeaway. The owner merry kindly added some focaccia, salad and Sake liqueurs when I mentioned we were trying The Sparrows for the first time and had driven 10 miles each way to do so.

This place is one of the best meals in Manchester. The atmosphere and place is gorgeous, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the prices are fantastic. The food is just sensational - something for everyone with a brilliant mix of foods you might know and newer ones, meat and vegetarian options and all entirely delicious.

Visited Manchester for birthday and had some disappointing meals elsewhere, looked online for reviews of Italians and the sparrows showed up. We managed to get the last slot for the evening and there is good reason for the high rating and availability. Food was incredible, service was impeccable and the overall ambience and atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect. Probably some of the best gnocchi I’ve ever had and the fresh pasta was superb also. If you live in or visit Manchester I highly recommend to book. The google rating speaks for itself!

Very great customer service coming from their staff and the owner. They really took time to go through all the things we ordered. Thanks to the owner who recommended me the best sake in town. She's very knowledgeable. Food are quite expensive for the portion. Their creamy red pasta was really banging. Had two type of dumplings, the beef one and the mushroom one. Both are so so. Other food are great, especially their bread. Only downside, when we asked for a bottle of sake on dining, they charged us £10 more expensive than the takeaway one. I felt cheated and they didn't tell me in the beginning. I was thinking to buy the whole bottle after had a glass of it as a thank you gratitude for the help of the owner, but i was suddenly very disappointed after knowing they charged us more than the price from their website.

First visit last weekend for early Sunday lunch. Quirky little place. Staff very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful but not over the top. Food amazing and different to anything I'd had before. Friends said cocktails were lovely. I was driving so didn't indulge but will next time. Totally different to mainstream , corporate, chain style restaurants. This place has heart and soul and cares about their food and customers. I'll be back!
