We were able to sit outside with an absolutely stunning view of the Severn and the Welsh coast. We had Sunday lunch which was very tasty though could have been hotter. Really recommend the cauliflower cheese. The oddest element of our visit was having to pay upfront for the meals. Bit too golden arches for me. The servers were very pleasant. The waiter taking the order, not so much.

Had an unexpected nose bleed outside the pub. Landlady Sara was awesome, went out of her way to help me. Lucky she is a former nurse. Lovely person who deserves good things 😀😀😀

I have no problem paying good money for a meal that I enjoyed. Sadly not the case today. Very overpriced for a bland Sunday roast that was like warm at best. Not a good sign when 5 orders come to the table quicker than going through a drive through fast food burger joint......... we did eventually get the 6th plate of food. All in all, better places to spend money for better quality food. On a positive, the waitress staff were very polite and helpful.

5/ 5

We decided to have Dinner at The Royal Inn while visiting Portishead. The setting is exceptional as the restaurant is basically the home of a family from Cyprus. The view and outside sitting area is also amazing. All staff were extremely kind and welcoming. The food was without a doubt very tasty and very high standard. Ask the staff for recommendations on the food menu since everything is very nice. Don’t forget to try their desserts. We will definitely be visiting again.
