I have been to many places in terms of outsourced psychiatric help and I can tell you that this is the place that helped me be stronger, change my view on my life, get up and move and most importantly learn to love myself. I would like to thank all the staff from Nurses to cooking staff (and maybe a few doctors but especially the therapists) you have changed me for the better. If you see any negative comments then you are witness to people being human beings, either mistakes happen or sometimes you can not fix everyone straight away. I know from very good experience though, if you are going through hell this is the best place to be.

Outstanding support...too many people to thank ie.from my consultant to housekeeping.......my life has now changed for the better. But as know you still see me every month as 'part of the staff!' :) PS. Anybody that puts a negative report on this review...probably needs a 'review' themselves.

Wonderful staff and management who were dedicated to the patients. But it was understaffed all the time. Onboarding took forever and when I finally got on board I found Human Resources to be the worseHR department ever.

Some of the staff were nice I got physically assaulted by another patient there wasn't anybody to hand straight away . I had my hair pulled I didn't do nothing to provoke the way I was treated. The place did do nice food but in the way some of the staff were taking physical items and hiding in them swapping and changing clocks made my mental health worse . I'm better now because I chose to get better . I'm awaiting a complaints form because I was physically attacked.

I was admitted to Brunel ward at the start of may and left at the end of September when it had to closed down. I am beyond thankful for the support I received whilst there, they ultimately saved my life and staff were understanding - the only issue is that there wasn't enough permanent staff. Through the hard times, I was reassured and staff were very careful in restraint so despite it being horrendous I wasn't awfully uncomfortable. I was never bored because the OT and OTA always had really good activities on and the psychologist ran lots of effective groups. The psychologist was incredible and really helped me work through lots of things. The rooms were nice (even though I had hardly anything in my room) and I felt comfortable there. The nurses were amazing as were the hcas and I felt so supported. It's such a shame that Brunel the camhs ward had to close down because I felt like that was the appropriate place for me to recover and many others shared that opinion with me. I had to move to a low secure and the transition period was very hard but I was supported through it. As of yesterday, I have been discharged from inpatient services and all the credit is to Bristol priory.
