Overall we were disappointed by the meal. Expectations were high as many people had recommended The Masons Arms to us. The bread was good - freshly baked served with olive oil, butter and balsamic vinegar. Scallops were great to start and the quail also was good and well balanced. The most disappointing were the mains. The sea bass was bland and tasteless. The venison wasn’t served hot and the beef was dry. The chocolate dessert had subtle flavours and the triple lemon desert and a nice variety. The service was good however waiters knowledge of the dishes and the ingredients could have been better.

A lovely unassuming gem hidden away serving the best food! I have a peanut allergy and the staff were incredibly accommodating, even giving me a variation of a dessert I wanted as I couldn't have the original incase there were nuts. They went over and above and made us all feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and we had a wonderful evening! Would recommend this place to everyone 😊

Very homely pub with good food. It's not trying to be a fancy London Michelin star restaurant, but it is fine dining in a pub. Friendly staff and a relaxed meal. You won't be rushed.
