What can I say about higher education at The Manchester College is that it is rubbish? I am currently on the HND courses studying business. The quality of teaching, services and experience and varies depend on what teacher you have. Some of the teachers are poor quality and are chavs. There is one tutor called Sarah Runcie, who is obsessed with the colour pink. Her teaching in class is so poor that people are falling asleep in class and stop coming in, as half of the time she is boring the students to death. It’s unbelievable that her teaching is so poor that students are falling asleep. Management are clearly blinded. She lectures the class as she has worked in a second tier university (UCLAN) as she always goes on about and also mention how there are few rouge tutors who abuse their position. She is so unprofessional and common in her attitude and make snide comment that they (Manchester College make me do work that is not in my job role). I don’t know how she got into this awful college but she clearly would not get a job in the professional world. Her work is produced to a poor incompetent standard, poorly design and amateur. She also gives students poor marks, by using excuse such as handed in work late, when other teaching staff don’t, the college clearly does not have any standard and give them less support. Work is handed back 3 weeks after it is submitted. There are also some lovely teachers such as Michael Malpas, Andrea, Steve, Rachel and others. The student culture is good. You are allowed to be a student and have you own opinions rather than being talked down at as a child. I won’t surprise if any tutors be arrested for child abuse.

I suggest you don’t go here long. It’s got problems with drugs at a nearby bridge, and dealers love to hang there. The area is also very chavy neighborhood it’s in, which is why it’s high on security. (It was nothing to do with Muslims). They also tend to deal with bullying problems poorly, especially if it’s from staff and there’s no way to report it. They also don’t care. Also, they treat people with high functioning disabilities poorly if they have a problem; especially if they’re being bullied. Even going as far as excluding the person with a disability, and even have poorly trained staff when it comes to mental health. It’s either going too far, or the staff were just hired to be paid less. In a nutshell, don’t go here if you don’t want drugs, mistreatment when you have a disability, accusations on mental health or poor training on it; and if you want a system that’s more reliable.

Students don't know how to cross the road like normal people, causing a danger to themselves and causing drivers to emergency stop/swerve. Sort it.

My experience with this college was great until it came time for studying and I was told the course is no longer available even though my enrolment was done. Staff don't answer their phone and the college is complete chaos. They're quick to take your money, but slow when it comes to actually providing any value. Massive dissapointment.

The college administration is extremely discriminative xenophobic. While trying to apply for a course they first dismiss you without even being bothered to inform you about it, not talking about advising what to do. After you noticing it by accident and trying hard to get in touch with them, you manage. Only to find out no matter, what qualifications you have, no matter how much money/time/effort was invested, they will dismiss them. Noone is bothered about equivalence there. You must have British GCSE. Doesn't matter you can pass the exams on the spot right now, doesn't matter you've been to uni. GCSE... I was thinking of paying the Ecctis but having talked to the administrator of the course I feel like there's no point. And obviously never go there, at least if you're a foreigner, unless you want to feel discriminated and dismissed.
