The Magic Café oxford

Sadly, I don’t find the staff particularly friendly. This is not my only experience of this but I went in the other week for a coffee and cake, purposefully choosing to go for a local business but after waiting around by the counter and being seen by staff popping in and out of the kitchen, my presence wasn’t even acknowledged. I got fed up waiting and being ignored so I packed my stuff up and left without ordering. I felt really sad for the owner because this is a basic customer service matter that could make all the difference. I hope this improves soon.

Delicious food! I wish this place was in London

Nov 6th. I go in for breakfast, order scrambled eggs and these are slow coming in the first place. Then a bloke arrives who's a friend of the woman behind the counter and they start chatting. My scrambled eggs get forgotten and I have to remind her of them. The friend now joins her in the kitchen and they continue chatting. The scrambled eggs were ok but is this place run as a cafe serving the public or is it a drop-in centre for friends of the staff?

Two juices, cup of tea and a hot choc £8. Tables could have been cleaner. Friendly staff.

Food amazing value and very tasty. Everything is made fresh everyday. They do take out as well. Very bohemian vibes. Main food served at 12 noon. Its very popular with the locals.
