I find it difficult to recommend the Bristol Montessori. Since it was taken over by new management prices have hiked (making it the most expensive Montessori in Bristol) and there have been staff changes on a monthly basis, leading to a great deal of inconsistency in the setting and loss of long-standing highly qualified staff. This was reflected in a recent ofsted inspection which saw the nursery lose its outstanding rating.

Well, what can I say?! A lot! The Bristol Montessori are honestly the most wonderful childcare setting you could ever wish for for your little one. Not only set in a beautiful building which is set up like a home from home but the teachers are second to none. The most carefully selected kind, gentle and knowledgeable bunch of humans who know the Montessori ethos inside and out. They all show love and kindness to your child and help each and every one settle in like a member of the family. The materials and subjects the children use and learn are much more advanced than traditional nursery settings and the diversity and multiculturalism children are taught is wonderful. It’s a sad day when your children finish their montessori journey with Miss Pegah and her amazing team x

I was recently invited by the nursery to share our family Ramadan treasure box with the children, we sat outside in the beautiful garden and talked about the moon and its phases with an engaging toddler audience! I have to say, along with an inclusive culture you clearly should be proud of, it is such a wonderful place you have! And being around everyone, I must be montessori(al? ) inside as it truly felt like home, I'm so glad my son is part of such an inspiring and gentle child led community. I can already see so much engagement and curiosity in my own little one, it really fills my heart with happiness that I have chosen this enriching environment; that you have worked so hard to deliver for parents like us. I can't wait to see what our children will do in the future. I highly recommend this nursery.

Our son loves going to the Bristol Montessori. He even asks to go at the weekend. After lockdown in a house with two other children (both slightly older), the calm environment the school has to offer has really helped his development. The people who work there not only care for the kids but help to promote their individuality and independence. Despite having two older children, this has been our first experience of a Montessori school. We are really impressed and would certainly recommend anybody to visit and see how different the children behave with the freedom of choice and responsibility, even at such young ages.

After visiting lots of nurseries across Bristol I finally found a place I felt at ease leaving my two little ones. There are many things which drew me to The Bristol Montessori, the environment, which is welcoming, calm and full of fantastic resources and interesting things to explore! The teachers, who from the get-go demonstrated both their knowledge and enthusiasm, and the nurseries Montessori ethos. As a parent with two children attending the Bristol Montessori simultaneously, I have already noticed positives to them attending a setting which allows children of all ages to mix. My eldest has been practising empathy and acting as a support system to his little sister, a skill I hope he continues to harness. As well as my littlest learning from her brother and her elder peers, she is also recognising how she can support those younger than her. I love that the setting allows for such relationships to grow. I also love the independence I am already noticing flourish, from putting on their own shoes and socks, to laying tables ready for meals and helping to tidy things away. Importantly they are having so much fun whilst learning lots! I love hearing about their days in each of the different rooms, which they can explore as they wish and seeing pictures of them getting involved each week. The teachers are always happy to have a chat at pick up time about the day which is really important to me. My children always come out of the door at the end of the day with big smiles. A big plus point for me is the connection to the natural world the nursery encourages which is perfect for my little nature and animal lovers. The garden and forest school area is beautiful, and weekly forest school trips are also a bonus! I am super exited to continue to witness both of my children’s journeys at the Bristol Montessori and could not recommend it enough!
