Never had a problem obtaining an appointment. Reception staff always very helpful. Great support from GPs, although I nearly always see Dr Hacking. Have been with the surgery for years. Long may it continue

A few years ago I left this surgery when Park Crescent had its massive revamp. Stupidest thing ever. Regretted it pretty soon after. Have been back with The Avenue since last year and they have been fantastic. Receptionists included.

Every time I try to book an appointment it is very rare I will get one the same day , today I have rang 92 times and what a surprise there isn’t any ! The receptionist at this surgery are so rude , asking me questions about why I need to see the doctor you answer the phone love , u haven’t been to medical school , so don’t see why I should discuss this with someone who worked at the newsagents the week before !! I received results last week and she even told me them wrong , best thing for this surgery is to sack them all and start again , shame as Dr Hacking is the best when u finally get to see him !!!!

Probably the best surgery in Brighton! The receptionists are friendly, appointments are available quickly (most of the times) and the GPs are very caring and provide an excellent service. Oh, and there's free parking nearby too! :)

The receptionists are vicious. Twice now the receptionists have NOT informed the doctors that my friends had checked in (rang the bell, confirming to the receptionist via intercom that they were indeed outside, 5 minutes before each appointment, as the notice says on the door, and being told by the receptionist that the doctor would be informed), so it looked like they were late for their appointments. They were kept waiting 20 minutes (first appointment) and 50 minutes (second appointment) outside due to Covid, then the doctors thought they were the ones that were late for the appointments! No apology. Such a shame as the doctors are great. It feels like the receptionists are sabotaging the Surgery.

I have been with The Avenue Surgery for 14 Years, the Doctors are fantastic, and some of the receptionist are helpful. But, there one receptionist that refused to give me the service i needed, after she was gasping at me, intimidated and lied about my tone because i explain her behaviour and she hang up on me while i was left in pain on my leg, i had to call 111 for support. The fact that i work in A&E, and PICU, I wondered how many people have silently cry the way i did on that...May God help BME community.

Very difficult to even get through on the phone, let alone get an appointment, due to the 3 hour lunch break taken every day. It has been the case more than once that I have spent over half an hour trying to get through on the phone only to have more time wasted by the receptionist not listening to me and wrongfully dismissing m. I also waited months to be contacted about the vaccine as I am vulnerable only to find out they didn't have me marked down as such despite my diagnosed medical history. Since amending their error two weeks ago I have still yet to receive a vaccination invitation and typically I can't get through on the phone to discuss it with them .
