Booked for weekend away with friends. Room very nice, big comfy king size bed, shower good and big TV as well. Basically all you could ask for. Booked table for dinner and it was excellent, Rose Zinfandel wine was delicious and the steak pie was too die for, 3 of us had it. I'm told the special of Trout and Salmon salad, very good too. Only disappointment was we couldn't book into the pool as it was fully booked. Overall highly recommend

Stayed at the altens for one night. Booked for there leisure facilities, which we used and they were fine. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was small. Restaurant was really nice and modern, the food was good too. The Altens is a nice hotel but could do with a refurbishment.

It doesn't look great from the outside but inside was lovely, very large rooms with 2 huge beds. The food was amazing, very tasty always hot, plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. I've deducted a star due to no designated room to chat or have coffee after evening meal, but Covid restrictions could have something to do with that. Unfortunately there wasn't a garden or any place to sit outside which would have been nice. Great indoor pool etc., we'd definitely stay there again.

Nice Hotel . Had an evening meal consisting of steak pie and chips . It tasted ok but the portion was probably the smallest iv ever seen. I stay in a lot of B&Bs and hotels with my work . And this was easily the smallest meal iv ever had. It was lucky if it was a child's meal and it cost 14 pounds
