We (husband and wife aged 50) stayed for two nights - this location is absolutely perfect for easy access walks without needing the car. Castleton is a perfect place to stay and it was our first time in the Peak District - easy access to castle, caves and walks. We are keen on running/walking so were really pleased. Next time we stay we would venture out to other sites in the car. We really enjoyed our stay - Lisa and her family work very hard to provide a great service. The room (1) had great views of the tors, the room was spacious with a large bathroom, bed was clean and very comfortable, lots of tea and coffee in room, tv. Breakfast was superb and a real 10/10. The B&B has a downstairs bar and this is good for a start or end of an evening and you can take drinks to your room. Easy parking. We loved our stay here and would really recommend Lisa and team at the Swiss House.

A perfect B&B. I stayed three nights in this great B&B. Great location in the centre of Castleton. The room and bathroom were very spacious and spotlessly clean with a great view of the hills. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the shower was the best I’ve ever had! The staff were all very friendly, attentive and very accommodating (I was going on a ‘Fear of heights course’ so had to make early starts. They were happy to give me an early, great cooked breakfast every morning) The bar has a good range of drinks and the lunch/evening menu is a little limited but the food is well done. I hope to go back sometimes to that area of the Peak District and if I do I would absolutely rebook to stay there. Very happy and no complaints at all.

Stayed for one night. Bedroom comfy and clean. Lovely view of the surrounding area. Bed comfortable and would have slept well but we had to leave our puppy in the car overnight. So worried about him. Reviews say they have dogs staying but no more. Breakfast was very good. Lot's of choice to suit everyone.

I have stayed in Castleton several times in different B&B's and all have been very good. This place however is head and shoulders above the rest. The rooms are very comfortable with king size beds, the breakfast is just superb, high quality produce skilfully prepared and presented. Next time I stay is Castleton I will be booking this place.

Just nipped in for a drink on our way back to the caravan and motorhome club site. It's the nearest bar to the site. Good selection of beers and spirits. Friendly staff. Large windows that you can people watch from unlike most of the other pubs. Also sport is shown on the TV. (if you like that sort of thing). Great little pub.
