Fantastic place to stay while in Peak District. Apartments of generous size, nice and well equipped. Quiet and discreet. Spacious car park. Shower with warm water immediately ☺️. Big windows letting lots of light even on rainy days.

Beautiful house and location. Clean and comfortable. Despite being far from budget accommodation, towels were not provided and nobody responded to my request to hire them at £3 each, so this spoiled our experience somewhat and left a bad impression. The bathroom was also very basic and more youth hostel than medium priced self catering apartment.

A home away from home in a jaw dropping architectural masterpiece situated in beautiful grounds in the High Peak. Our apartment was clean and homely, we instantly felt comfortable and ready for our Halloween evening in a spooky old mansion.

Anthony is the perfect host, from the warm welcome to the support during our stay. The accommodation is just amazing, it was like sharing someone's home in a well kept country mansion. The room we had was incredible, with beautifully ornate high ceilings, well furnished with exceptionally comfortable beds. The quirky electricity meter was such good value and in fitting with the old world charm of Hargate Hall. The current owners have taken great care to preserve the authenticity of the building and its contents. There are excellent local walks (recommend Millers Dale) and restaurants in the area which are of a very high standard (Merchants Yard Tideswell) All in all -Superb.

Anthony and Julie have been amazing for us, their brilliant venue suited us down to the ground. We knew it was the perfect place as soon as we saw it on an open day - we held out through lockdowns to make sure we could still go there. Anthony had been guiding us through the process of rebooking and helping us with advice along the way versus lockdown and covid19 restrictions and made us feel so much better every time we phoned up. We hired the whole venue and marquee for our DIY wedding over a weekend, hosting our guests in each apartment, all apartments are different size each with it's charm. The main hall was the hub where we had our wedding ceremony and live music. The thing that attracted us has been that Hargate Hall is family run and super accommodating. Each time we'd phoned to ask if that or this is OK Anthony's been up for it! They have decoration and the all important Bar services to offer too, the Horsebox Cocktail Bar is run by Anthony's son, one of his daughters was helping out with our caterers in the marquee We recommend Hargate Hall for certain. Lots of our guests have been blown away saying how unique it was (as well as the best wedding they've been to.. :s). The opportunity for our guests to make themselves comfy in apartments, go for walks, drop in and out of whats going on at the celebrations is great. We certainly we're glad we managed to enjoy a longer wedding celebration Friday night till Monday morning otherwise it would have gone in a flash!! Go and visit Hargate Hall, have a chat to Anthony and see for yourself We want to do it all again... thankyouthankyouthankyou to the Knox Family for having us at your fantastic venue, we wish you all the best for the future
