Friendly and helpful staff and medics. I didn't have an appointment but I was registered, seen by a nurse and then the eye doctor in 3hrs. They were all very busy with appointments but fitted me in,brilliant and thanks.

I have been trying to get copies of my notes for some time. I eventually received a 'phone call, nothing in writing of course, to say that they were aware that I had requested my notes but that was all. What more do I need to do to get the damn notes!? Also because my surname begins with an S I had to get in touch with the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath for my notes and not this hospital. I am very unhappy with the outcome of both the surgery and the way I have been treated by their governance office. I do not recommend either the surgeons or the governance staff and shall be making a formal complaint to CQC. Lesley Strang

Prompt advice over the phone with provisional diagnosis and an invitation to visit for a fuller assessment. The suggested remedy was successful and saved my holiday! Thank you for this excellent service.

I had an irriated bloodshot eye for over 24hours, I was advised by my pharmcy to ring Sussex Eye Hospital. The doctor on the phone told me to come over straight away, I waited about 20 minutes in the waiting room. The doctor said there was an eyelash scratching my eyeball and he had to remove the eyelash, I was anxious and once pulled my head away, but he was understanding and calm. 1 minute later he has removed the eyelash and my eye feels better already. The doctor was brilliant, I wish I grabbed his name before I left.

Waiting for my child eye test appointment for 3 months now.. Looks like there is no priority for children. I never seen this much careless healthcare. GP reception told me when it gets worst to call back. So I should wait for eyesight get worse? Hospital department said they don’t know anything about appointments. Then why you work in hospital?

Excellent. Despite being under pressure from many patients requiring treatment all the staff were calm, friendly and adhered strictly to Covid regulations. I would particularly like to mention Jackie Bennett, who provided the utmost care in a professional, friendly manner. The doctor on duty was also brilliant. Could not rate this eye hospital highly enough and would like to thank everyone.

Great place, I had a 20 minute wait and I got my eye sorted! 10/10 would A&E again.
