Firstly the service at this hotel is impeccable, especially Shaun the concierge/valet. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is so nice/friendly. The hotel is luxurious and the suites are spacious - nineteen o’ six being my favourite. Will be back again really soon. Easily favourite hotel in Manchester, and I’ve stayed in pretty much them all.

Just had an absolutely superb meal at the Bull and Bear. The braised lamb was delicious, very tender and succulent, lovely gravy and a side of broccoli . Bread and butter pudding was divine with an orange custard sauce. One of the best wine lists in Manchester, we had a lovely bottle of burgundy for just over £50, you could go absolutely mad if you wanted to, with wines upto £1300 a bottle. Staff very polite and friendly , great live music which adds to the great atmosphere. Can recommend this restaurant as a place to visit as a couple or with friends for a nice relaxing night out.

As many have said the staff are first class, pity the stock exchange aren't paying some of their zero houredstaff furlough for September leaving many of them unable to pay rent. First rate hotel, second rate morals at best!!!!

Outstanding service from the people that work at this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. A warm welcome with drink on arrival. Efficient check in, concierge and valet parking. Brilliant bar service. The whole place was also immaculately clean. Breakfast at the Bull & Bear was lovely again accompanied by the best service. The best hotel stay I’ve ever had in Manchester, if not the UK

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The customer service and attention to detail was second to none. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The check-in process was slick and very comfortable being offered a glass of bubbles. Our bags were taken up to our room whilst we were checking in which was a real bonus. Our room was super comfortable, immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The heated floor in the bathroom was a real treat! House keeping arriving whilst we were at breakfast meant minimal distribution which we really appreciated. The restaurant and bar area served delicious food, and the cocktails we had were first class! (The old fashioned was a particular favourite of my husband.) we had breakfast both mornings in the restaurant and were very happy. A special thank you to the concierge team who ensured we had the best service throughout our stay. The little personal touches we really loved. We would love to stay again the next time we are in Manchester. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Attention to detail is what sets small boutique hotels apart and the Stock Exchange Hotel has that in abundance. Particular credit to the waiting staff who pay great attention without being overbearing. A skill that is not easy to deliver. Food is top quality, with portion sizes what you expect of establishments like this. Be hampered!

There is no doubt this hotel is maintained to a high standard and the staff are welcoming. Unfortunately all of the positives fall to the wayside very quickly when your quality of sleep is poor in what is supposed to be a luxury hotel. If you’re due to stay, I would cross your fingers as you enter the hotel and hope you aren’t staying on the first floor. You can have the comfiest bed in the world but it isn’t going to make a difference if you are faced with HGVs reversing, parking and unloading goods literally right outside the window for most of the night, and then again consistently from 6am. The noise truly was outrageous. Needless to say we hardly slept. Which really takes the shine off a place like this. Yes this is a City Centre hotel right amongst the hustle & bustle - But the harsh reality is that I’ve had better sleeps in budget hotels, which is really disappointing. Ultimately i regret my stay and regret spending £200 more than i needed to. Can’t wait to get home to bed!
