I preface this review in that I have had just one experience with the aforementioned; namely a walk-in initial appraisal. The three members of staff I have interacted with thus far are courteous, professional, discreet and personable. This first experience exceeded any expectations I may have had. Upon further interaction with this service I will amend this review accordingly, if it is necessary.

I and many others have had a terrible almost miserable time in our dealings with this treatment provider many time our liquid handcuffs one glove policy of treatment that has often resorted to almost bullyboy type practices in order to force one down a clearly agenda driven path we need to realise no longer works effectively in the addict who is at the bottom of the food chain

As a person on the Autism spectrum, having to access the substance misuse services has been very tricky for me in my previous area. I came by these services a while ago now after becoming dependent on over the counter codeine tablets. The service I have received in Derby has been SUCH a change from my previous area. Please don't be afraid of accessing this service, they are much more equipped to deal with people like myself than I first thought! Thank you, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. The staff who do this job, I couldn't do it, it would break my heart a million times over the cases you guys must have to deal with each day. These guys save as many lives as the guys up in A&E, please don't forget them! x

Update: I continue to hold this service in the highest of regard. For the service and support this system has provided me I am very grateful.
