i approached these people looking for a counsellor, instead they referred me to a psychiatrist, totally inappropriate, they even sent me 3 A4 sheets titled "Physical Health Assessment questionnaire" they wanted to know what I ate, what my physical health was like, eyesight, teeth, etc, if I wanted a physical health check up I would have gone to a doctor, if I had problems with my eyes, I would have gone to a optician, for my teeth I would have gone to a dentist, and for my diet, I would have found a nutritionist. I don't know if this is a NHS cock up, but totally irrellevant for me. its a form you would expect to fill out if you were signing up to join the Army or Navy not a form just for CBT. I have not been to the Ashbourne Centre, my treatment, or lack of, was conducted in Alfreton, I had 30 minutes with a psychotherapist, who told me she was going to refer me to another department, I assumed she meant a counsellor or occupational therapist, but it turned out she referred me to a psychiatrist, I have not and will not be meeting this person, I have panic attacks if I go outside my safe zone area, and only need cbt but for slightly longer than the 6 weeks they give. so only looking for a therapist who can offer me this. I did ask them for a female therapist, British, but the appointment came through for me to see a male, and by the surname it would appear he was not British, I have nowt wrong with foreigners, but I did ask for a female and not male and British, another cock up on the part of the NHS. you know what they phrase goes "if you want something done properly, do it yourself" or words to that effect, don't rely on others, this is certainly the case for the whole of the NHS, a scheme run by the government, a bad government (Tories) at that now im left looking for a private counsellor as the NHS have failed in their duty score one out of five and that's being generous, should be nought. having read the Care Quality Commission report, which can be found online, stating this service needs improvement. The management of a troubled NHS Trust has been rated as inadequate in a new report. In 2015 a tribunal found an employee of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust had suffered sexual discrimination from the then chairman. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has now given the trust an overall "requires improvement" rating but said it lacked "robust leadership". The trust said it had an action plan in place to improve areas of concern
