Always a massive struggle getting through to the phone queue let alone an actual person. When you do finally get to speak to someone there are rarely any appointments remaining, at least never at the time you want. They don't book appointments after 5:30pm, therefore useless for those who actually work during the week (aka the people who fund them). But then again what else can you expect when the first of the automated phone options is for cancelling appointments, this is the NHS after all...

10 days after seeing the G.P who promptly referred me to hospital whilst I sat with him, the letter had not even been typed, let alone sent. I only found this out when I phoned the hospital for an approximate appointment time. Was told by the surgery that the bank holiday would have delayed it, but this was one day. 3 secretaries and various admin assistants...so should it really take this long just for the referral to leave the surgery? The wait for a hospital appointment is long enough, but the wait can only start when they actually receive the referral!

Having seen the low rating given for the practice, I feel compelled to add my 5 star rating as I have received excellent support from Chris Roome, a staff member at the practice. He is an empathic, proactive and supportive mental health practitioner who has really made a difference and I now feel ready to return to work Thank you Chris/Lister House.

Excellent service, as always. Some scathing and personal reviews on here, OK Karen you're upset because the NHS won't fund your over the counter available requirements even though you're entitled to free prescriptions? 😪 OK Kevin, the receptionist asked your symptoms? 😯 Perhaps they needed to know who to refer you to, if your thingy wasn't working would you be happy seeing a nurse who specialises in breathing difficulties? Sometimes people have to wait a little longer than they would like to, but Karen, you're in no hurry, you have all day to write scathing comments on here, and Kevin, Wetherspoons is open all day, it will still be there when your thingy problem has been solved. The last couple of years must have been extremely stressful for all medical staff, before moaning about the service just appreciate how lucky we are to have the NHS and all of the hard working staff. 🙂

47 attempts and counting to get someone to answer the phone. Par for the course. If you were a business with customers you'd be out of business within a week.
