Took exceptional care of my wife who needed thyroid surgery. Amazing Consultant Mr Jani and staff who are exceptional. Highly Recommended.

I was lucky enough to be referred as an NHS patient. I spent one night following a Parathyroidectomy. My Surgeon was absolutely wonderful as were all of the nursing staff that cared for me. I really would recommend The Spire.

On 12 september I had a total hip replacement at the Spire. From beginning to end my treatment was exceptional, with wonderful staff who took care of me superbly. From the moment I was shown my room I was looked after and I was put as ease as things were explained to me. The food was really good and as a NHS patient I felt that I was treated just the same as a private patient. I was booked in for 5 days and at no point was I pressurised to leave until I felt ready and confident to go home. I have to commend one nurse in particularly who I called my '5 star Nurse', her name was Christina and she went the extra mile for me, makiing me feel special. I was sad to leave her when she wheeled me out to the car for my homeward journey I had a tear in my eye, it was very emotional. My follow up Physio has also to be applauded. Thank you Spire Lea for helping me on my road to being pain free again.

Stayed one night at the hospital post plastic surgery procedure in December 2018. As a nurse myself I compliment nursing care I have received at the Spire Lea hospital. Also ancillary members of staff were very helpful and responsive. The room was newly refurbished, spotless and modern, comparable to 4-5 star hotel standard. I recommend this hospital.

I had a hysterectomy here. All the staff were excellent to me. The room was so comfortable and the food was so nice, I wanted to stay another night! For me, it was like I was in a hotel. 5 stars, thank you so much to all the team.

I received treatment from Mr Srouji at Spire hospital Cambridge & honestly could not find fault from start to finish. Mr Srouji & his team were attentive & caring professionals. Nothing was too much trouble. From the initial consultation, to the treatment I always felt I was in good hands. Everything was explained in detail- I never had to guess anything & felt informed on every step. It's wonderful to be surrounded by practitioners & staff who clearly enjoy & take pride in their work.

Had blood tests performed. My experience was ok, during the booking process my policy number was not recorded (even though I provided it over the phone) and so I had to find this on the day on arrival which was difficult. The nurse taking my blood was excellent, professional and swift, however some of the reception staff were extremely rude and difficult. There was no mention at the appointment of how long it will take to receive results and the mechanism for getting these.

Very poor delivery operation. Lady at imaging - Gail - was unprofessional, refusing to give her surname for future contact, and gave misleading information about getting free NHS referral for CT scans. Had to chase up several times, with promises that they’d get in touch by x date, and then nothing. Didn’t even get through to Histon branch on one occasion. Eventually gave up on them, and turned out could get CT scan for less than half the price from Vista Health, and with prompt, professional phone replies. NHS failure is forcing people to turn to private sector, but when the private sector is incompetent, we have a serious problem in this country. Don’t waste your time with Spire.
