Had a bad experience at the Specsavers in Richmond, but Ealing went out of their way to accommodate an appointment and put me at ease. They were all super friendly and very knowledgeable. Knocked a star off as I wasn't told that my glasses were ready to collect (was told at my appointment it would be about a week, but wasn't told when they were in fact ready.) Thankfully I only work around the corner, popped in after work and they were there, but would have been nice to get a message saying they were in, as it may cause some people a wasted journey. I understand this may not be possible though as they are a busy branch.

I always found specsavers optician helpful. After many years I realized that they sell very poor quality glasses which made me allergic reaction from the arms to my skin. Itching and blood was the main problem. On internet you can find writed that there are 2 years manufacturer warranty from them and then when I went to the shop they said no you have to buy new glasses. Specsarver is probably getting bad then when was 6years ago. I suggest different companys

I went today to specsavers because my hearing aid is not working and I know it is a simple job and will not take more than 5 minutes. At the beginning the lady said sorry you don’t have an appointment, and I said it only happened this morning. After some negotiation with her colleague she said I have just found out there is no one in audiology they have all left 😳 although there are 5 hours till closure.

Extremely poor customer service. I knew that I would arrive 15 minutes late so I gave them a call asking if I should still come. The lady on the phone told me that it’s fine and I will be seen as soon as I arrive. When arriving and explaining the situation the receptionist gave me a rude look and she said that I’m late. I explained that I gave a call and I was directed to still come. The manager wasn’t helpful as well. I was explaining what kind of service I need (eye contacts prescription) and I was getting a lot of comments such as “you know nothing”, “you don’t even know what lenses you were wearing”. That’s why I came here to be fair… After all I wasn’t seen at all. Decided to leave and went to boots where I received a great customer service and quick info about everything.

Book eye test appointment with this shop only if you wish your personal details publicly violated and catch covid 19 virus. On entering the shop for appointment, the receptionist asked me, in the middle of the shop and in the hearing of everyone, about my personal details, including whether i am on pension credit and receive NHS discount, notwithstanding i have supplied my personal information previously in the online appointment booking. Another staff told me they wanted to double-check. The receptionist also did not respect social distancing rules. I needed to tell her to stay two meters away from me when i told her i am taking up her suggestion to cancel my booking. The shop management and the Specsavers probably don’t bother with proper staff training. The shop didn’t even responded to my written complaint. Extraordinary experience in present-day UK society, thought i were transported to a virtual world ruled by class and caste.

Extremely poor customer service, they made my parents feel horrible. My parents had the phone on and i was listening to everything so i can help them translate English. They had a very bad tone while speaking to my parents i felt disgusted and i asked my mum if i can speak to one staff member to explain they need to pick up 2 glasses distance and reading. so i did and i said to him i dont like your tone or your colleague and he said thats not my problem! no customer care whatsoever. And also they made a mistake and told my dad one pair is not ready and he has to come back again on Friday to pick it up. (in the beginning the staff made my parents feel stupid or as if they are so wrong and confused they didn't even check on the system to see exactly what he needs to pick up untill i explained so he actually had to do a proper check) I will make a formal complain once i get their full names. Reyallyyy disappointed and never letting my parents go there again, and please dont let anyone vulnerable go there because they will be mistreated. Specsavers you need to train your staff on how to deal with the needy and vulnerable they lack empathy and skills and are not inclusive. There are so many terrible reviews regarding customer care and yet specsavers choose to do nothing about it!

Being going to my local optician for sometime, thought l'll try Specsavers and boy was l surprised. They were so much cheaper then my local and you can get two pairs of glasses or contact lenses for as little as £69. Plus my optician was charging me over £400 for glasses now l can get it for under £300 even cheaper if l go for frame under £70. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Explained and showed me all l needed for my glasses 👓, if you want value for money, very good customer service and lovely designer glasses then Specsavers is the place to go.
