I stayed here during a conference. Our room was not in the old part, but had everything we needed. Breakfast is served in the old part, which looks quite interesting with all the old paintings. Since it is very central, with a Saintsbury at the other side of the road and loads of nice pubs around, it's a good location for a stay in Cambridge.

Situated in the city centre, just opposite Sainsbury's. You might just miss it as there is just a small door open at the entrance. Amazing courtyards and well-maintained buildings and landscape!

Went on a sorta uni taster weekend and stayed at Sidney Sussex overnight. Nice place overall, historic buildings and great location. But our flat's toilet was blocked and after multiple people notifying multiple staff members multiple times it was not fixed and got quite messy and nasty. Also it was catered for us and the food wasn't that good for those who are even slightly picky eaters as it was like they were trying to be a fancy restaurant with herby food but all I wanted was like simple food.

5/ 5

A beautiful environment and an oasis of calm with glorious, well presented gardens and a variety of beautiful buildings in both historic and modern styles. The college catering team maintain their traditionally superb standards, both in meal preparation and service, despite the upheaval of major building work, modernisation, and the ongoing challenges arising from the pandemic and supply chain difficulties.

Cold ventilation in room- I asked them to block it off but nothing was done for several weeks (central heating not on in october anyway and electric ones aren't safe overnight), especially when it's already cold autumn time. The rest of the stay was reasonable.
