We wish we could rate SHO4 tours a "10" on a scale of "5" - that's how good it was. Steve Hodgkinson is a great private guide. He is from the area and is extremely knowledgeable. He also has a keen and easy-going sense of humor. Steve is also very flexible. While he suggests certain tours on his website, we wanted to combine certain sights and he was completely accommodating. Also importantly: His vehicle is clean, he is a safe driver, and he is responsive to emails. Clearly, this is a man who does private tours because he likes it and not because he needs to do it. You will be lucky if you can book him.

Steve provided an excellent and informative tour of the Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon for me and my friend on October 16, 2017. We had never traveled in the area and Steve's tour exceeded our expectations. The countryside is beautiful and Steve took us to places we would not have seen on a tour bus. Steve arrived early for our tour and at the end of the day dropped us off at a local restaurant he suggested where we ate a delicious dinner. I highly recommend Steve's tours because you will get everything you expect and more.

We had an amazing day with Steve. Being avid fans of Midsomer Murders, we were exited to fine Sho4 Tours. We never expected to see so much , and, now when we watch the program we delight in saying, oh, we've been there. Steve listened to what interested us and tailored our tour to suit. Morning tea and lunch in location venues was wonderful. If we are ever fortunate enough to go back to Oxford, we would certainly book another tour.

5/ 5

Last July, we booked a private tour with Steve from Oxford to Stratford-upon-Avon and Northern Cotswold. We really enjoyed the trip and had a wonderful time. The itinerary was excellent and Steve adapted the tour based on our interests. He adjusted the route according to traffic, crowds and made sure we saw all the key attractions. He is professional, knowledgeable, and also has good local insight. He showed up on time with a clean car. We learned a lot of local history, culture and architecture from him. Moreover, he went the extra mile to satisfy our requests, e.g. he took us to see different styles of stone houses and birds in Cotswold. He is an easygoing guy so we felt like we were traveling with a friend. Steve is a great private tour guide and deserves a five-Star review.

5/ 5

In September 2017 my wife and I engaged Steve Hodgkinson of Sho4 Travel to provide us with a two day guided tour of selected sites from the Midsomer Murder mystery series. Steve was very gracious and knowledgeable and he gave us many insights into the history of this very interesting region and the techniques involved in filming various episodes. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend Steve to anyone considering travel and sightseeing in this region.
