A brilliant Birthday Lunch. Great food, professional service and a faultless meal thoroughly enjoyed. Not the cheapest by any means but you get what you pay for, and here that is top quality food and service in classical surroundings in the centre of Manchester. A great way to break away from the shopping and cool down the cards.

I've Been in this restaurant several times I the past and as an Italian man abroad i have always felt at home and that meant a lot to me. Very professional staff, chatty managers, stunning food and massive wine's choices. Delightful desserts and authentic & proper digestives liqueurs. It's a must! You can't miss San Carlo if you're in Manchester and you're looking for real Italian food and a real Italian atmosphere.

It was a mess when I got in the restaurant. I had a booking for dinner made with 1 week in advance on the 11/10/2019 and when I arrived I still had to wait 20 minutes to get a table because according to the person responsible in the front desk "it did not matter if I had a booking". So the night did not start well. However, once we got a table the service was great, very kind and friendly. I was served by Salvatore, a guy from Sicily that night. The food was very good, I tried the Salmon with Prawns, I can tell it was one of the best I have tried. So, in the end was a very enjoyable night. I would just suggest to be more respectful with the clients at the entrance and clearly, if we have a booking, it does matter. Besides that, I do recommend the place, it is very nice. I would give it another chance and will comeback at some point.

Excellent truffle rissotto! Wonderful decor Lovely service I forgot my phone there and they were amazing when it came to getting it delivered back to me in another city. Antonio and his team did a sterling job and would highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited to celebrate my daughters birthday. The food was very good. Slowish service but attentive at the same time considering how busy the restaurant was. Very pleasant staff and an elegant venue. Staff sang happy birthday to my daughter which was a lovely touch. I recommend this place.

We visited San Carlo with my 2 year old granddaughter. Our waiter was amazing, he could see she was getting fussy so her brought her food out straight away. Without us Needing to say anything, he knew instantly. As always the food was excellent for us all!! The service impeccable. Atmosphere fantastic. Thank you San Carlo.

Visited on a Monday evening for dinner. Waiting half an hour at the bar for a table, despite having a reservation does take off points. Main courses, lamb cutlets and veal were 10/10, very tasty and well cooked. Desserts were great too, the meringue was superb. Did not notice that the starters platter was £12 per person which we found a bit expensive for a cold cuts and cheese platter.

Keeping this review short and sharp. Excellent high quality food. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Go for the oysters! They were amazing! But to be honest, everything they we had was excellent too. You won't regret dining here.

Nice venue, great atmosphere, great service and friendly staff! Food is exceptional with a wide variety of meals to choose from. Very Authentic Italian food and also brilliant selection of drinks too. Would highly recommend 👌
