Am extraordinary bar run by an extraordinary gentleman. Superb cocktails, and Sammy is such a genuinely nice bloke who cares about everyone who crosses his threshold. The type of place you want to show all your mates!

Such a warm and welcoming environment with delicious drink, what more can you ask for? The drinks are reasonably priced and the owner, himself, provides the incredible energy and atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend this bar, especially to individuals travelling from other cities. The owner and the customers that go here will show you the true Northern spirit.

Unfortunately Sammy can be a little unpredictable. One minute he acts like he loves everyone, shaking hands, beaming at everyone etc. Next he's throwing random people out. Also, being stopped from entering because of the way you look is not a great vibe. I can only think all this makes him feel powerful. If that's what brings him happiness I do feel sorry for him.

Guy is a bit of a loon. 6 of us were let in even though nowhere to sit down, so 6 cocktails worth about 50 quid, stood next to the DJ booth and was told to leave because one of the group spilt the smallest amount of their drink and he lost his head. Cocktails were good tho which gets him an extra star

From looking at previous reviews, I can only assume its Sammy who accosted our group for using a part of the bar which you're supposed to know cannot be used (apparently a 70's antique but no sign to say as much). Cocktails were terrible too.

I was one of the first people in this bar, helping it get running and recommending it to friends. Today I didn't get let in with one friend because it was too full. I then shortly after saw a group of people getting let in. It's a disgrace.
