Sally Montague Hair Group – Derby

It was our first visit to Sally Montague Salon at the Old Hall.Lauren did a brilliant job and gave my daughter and I a great cut and would 100% recommend her to anyone .However, we had a very cold reception from an old lady at the front desk from the beginning. .After we had paid , the old lady just gave us back my card and a receipt without saying anything or even look at us but instead carry on talking on the phone .We found this to be extremely rude and kind of spoilt our visit after we have had a nice service with Lauren.I will not go back unless they employ a nicer receptionist.

I love my regular appointments with Lorna! They’re a highlight in my diary. I often have a balayage with a cut and blow dry, and the results never disappoint. Lorna is so talented at crafting beautiful hairstyles, and listens attentively to what you want. The salon itself is cleaned to a high standard and is housed in a gorgeous location - the Old Hall is super luxurious; not your average salon! I’ve also had my brows waxed and shaped in the upstairs spa area, which again is clean, peaceful, and looks very well kitted out for the numerous treatments offered. From the moment you walk through the door you’re treated with the utmost care, and every member of staff is kind and friendly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, and would highly recommend to anyone, whether you’re looking for a trim, restyle, or a peaceful break for some self care. Just wonderful.

Excellent salons and would definitely recommend the old hall which I use. The salon is beautiful inside and relaxing. The stylists are friendly,helpful,and upto date on all the latest trends. The services are all very professional and good quality. I always enjoy my experience and would not go anywhere else. I can trust that my hair is getting the best treatment. The hair extensions were a huge boost for my hair and definitely worth it. I really look forward to my visits and regularly visit. They know what I like and I always receive a lovely welcome back every time.

I have been coming to Sally Montague for almost 6 years now and am yet to be disappointed. I'd never been bothered much about salon preference until I tried Sally's and realised they were in a league of their own. I have never before experienced an appointment that feels so elegant. Putting the general ambience of the place aside (tall rustic ceilings, elegant artwork and chandeliers a plenty), their general customer service is above and beyond. From the way you are greeted at the door, to the consistent checks to see if you need more drinks, to the way they meticulously communicate every detail of your appointment, you are left feeling like you are the most important person in the room. My hairdresser is brilliant at discussing new styles and colours and takes excellent care of my hair, always recommending products to use and advising on styling techniques. My hair has never felt or looked so good and I have been amazed by how well my colour holds between sessions. My children get their hair done here too and we've always been treated exceptionally well, leaving with hair that has you doing that bouncy walk down the street. I couldn't recommend Sally Montague's enough and look forward to every appointment, and now that I've discovered their loyalty scheme I will be booking in with some of their beauty appointments too! Absolutely worth switching your salon and coming here!

The old hall and saddler Gate shops give such an amazing experience. Beautiful decor and friendly staff. Always feel treated like a queen when I walk out of there. The app is very easy to use to make appointments.
