Decent size and convenient for those in central York. Depending on the time of day restocking hasn't been done. This leads to selection being limited.

I used ti shop here a lot but it's now less convenient for me. It's really in need of updating... difficult to pinpoint, but there seems to be a slight melancholy pall over the place. But it sells the wide range of goods you'd expect from a sub-superstore-sized Sainsbury's.

Prices are not so low, but quality is really nice here. Great products and some interesting clearance can be found. I love their bakery selections and their frozen foods. You can find similar products in other supermarket brands, but they will not taste as good as here. This unit has easy access from the city centre and large parking spot.

Friendly staff and a nice size and range of foods. The smaller size than the bigger hypermarkets makes shopping so much quicker.

Medium sized store, no Argos, Pharmacy etc. But everything you'd expect from a supermarket. Very nice staff. Terrible bike racks. Free parking for one hour but you need a ticket. Paid parking for up to 2 hours refunded with in-store purchase. They reduced the max stay from 4 hours to 2 in October 2021 which has improved the chances of getting a space.

3/ 5

Decent supermarket with quality produce. Worth the little extra you can pay. Polite staff and a clean store. During certain periods of the day the car park can be very busy and you can struggle to find a space. I would say this is the reason I do not use the supermarket more. If this improved then the rating certainly would go up!
