Went to cafe this morning with three children. Was refused the children menu as cashier said it didn't exist. Explained its on menu behind her. She then informed us vegetarian sausages that are displayed on menu aren't being served. Asked for a substitute and she said nothing exists. Asked again, she offered haloumi cheese. Insisted then we pay extra as her till can't cope with this substitution. We explained it was her who offered it as a substitute and not as an extra. This confused her and she went to ask the cook on how to work the till. Cook mumbled something and walked away. Queue was large at this point and we offered to let her serve others. No attempt to resolve this was made. Lastly, we asked to speak to the manager. Was informed no manager is available until Monday. Three disappointed children and two embarrassed parents. Staff training required.

Usually do my weekly shop here on a Saturday morning and spend quite a lot. Generally a good selection and friendly service. Today, despite it being busy, they had just 2 checkouts open and had to join a long queue. Told the reason was the manager had taken staff to a charity event. Great, but on a Saturday morning with no covering staff! Bonkers. Apparently plan is to do same next Saturday. Glad I know as I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Struggled to find staff in isle had to go to bakery to speak to someone as there was no whole milk in 4 or 6 pints on shelf. Others milks finished too. He managed to get a staff member. Who was happy to help even though not his department. He went a looked in back had to wait 10 mins when he finally re-emerged had to apologise as there was no milk. So had to leave the store empty handed headed a little further out off my way to a competitor and buy milk was an inconvenience as this store is like 30 seconds from me and always use it

This post is old...however my online experience has been good since Covid19. On the couple of occasions I have visited the store I found a couple of people not wearing masks. I have given them a wide berth where possible. Shop early or very late to avoid crowds. Plenty of parking space. The isles are not very wide and there are no directional markers to follow. I would give it 4 stars during the current situation.
