This was my first time in a Leicester salon since moving here, so I was originally a little reluctant to pay over £100 for a cut and colour, but I thought I’d treat myself. I fancied a big change post lockdown, going from long coppery brown hair to shoulder length dark chocolate colour. I’ll begin by saying that the style and colour that was advised to me was perfect for my face shape / hair type / etc. However, my overall experience was not a good one. Firstly, whilst the stylist was mixing the colour I was told a drink would be brought to me and it wasn’t. A minor detail which would have been nice after being told about it. I was also asked how I would like my hair styling once finished, to which I replied curled, and the stylist simply blow dried and left my hair natural. Had I not been asked how I wanted it styling, I perhaps would not have been as bothered. Admittedly, I didn’t walk out of the salon feeling ‘a million dollars’ as I perhaps would have done with a proper style. I also felt quite pushed into making another appointment; as when I was gathering my bags together one was being booked for 8 weeks time. I have since cancelled. After brushing my hair, I noticed various sections of hair were noticeably longer than the others and implies a lack of care and attention to detail which I was really disappointed with. I have had to have these cut elsewhere as I have since noticed my length of hair is incredibly uneven! NOT what I would have expected at all! Overall, I am unhappy with the experience I had at Rush and will not be returning.
