Terrible. Very rushed - 13 minutes for a shoddy job, not worth more than £2 but was charged £15. What a joke

-bad technique- I had my hair cut here a while back. My hair was cut by a man who explained that he was the owner and had cut hair for 10 years. The hair cut was short and sweet, a little banter and a quick fade. I wasn’t that pleased with the cut at the time due to it highlighting my high hair line. I asked for a fringe and explained I didn’t use product, yet he continued to spike my hair up high with gel. Anyway I didn’t complain and paid the money. Now I have gone to another hairdresser who explained that he did what is known as a cheat cut. He took my fade right up to my crown, making the fade easier and faster to achieve. He must have either not known how to cut (not likely) or just wanted to rush things, in order to get more money and serve the queue. I have been informed that to achieve the fade I usually like (halfway up, which I specifically specified) I will have to grow it out a little more or cut it a couple more times. Needless to say my hair is looking a lot better after going elsewhere and I shall not be returning.

Best haircut I've ever had. It's hard to get a barber to cut my blond curly hair properly but Lucia did an amazing job. I went in with the lockdown scruffy look and came out a completely different person in all the right ways. Many thanks to all the professional and welcoming staff, I will be coming back for sure!

I may be biased as I have been using RSR for years now, but there is a reason I do. It is centrally based, so convenient to pop down during lunch or after work. But the reason I go for RSR each time despite numerous hairdressers in the area are the people - Rachel and Scott (I hope I got these right because I'm rubbish with names) who run the place along with some great young hairdressers - they make the whole experience very enjoyable (and this comes from a socially awkward person) remembering me and my stories even if (due to covid) I only dropped in once every 5-6 months recently. On top of that, the quality of cut and being able to fashion something from my thinning hair that puts a smile on my wife's face, and being very competitive price wise makes this the sole destination for my hair management 😁👍

I thought I'd treat myself to a more expensive haircut than normal and booked in here. The lady who greeted me was pleasant but the owner (the guy who did my cut) was more interested in talking about his wealth (cars / watches / properties / blah blah). After I'd suggested what i'd like he didn't take much interest in my directions - I wasn't pleased with the finished cut and pointed out that it didn't feel right in certain areas - only to be told "that was how my hair was". And this cost me £25. I now feel bad that i didn't go to my usual barbers in Clifton as their £15 haircut always left me feeling good about the cut, not uncomfortable. So the next day I went back to my old barber and had them finish off the half job that was done by RSR. Lesson learned so I'll save a tenner a time and get a far superior cut at my old place. It also looks like I'll get a cut and paste response here pointing out their 4-5 star reviews which frankly is as bad as the haircut. Anyway, I'm not looking for a response I'm merely offering my experience here which wasn't good.
