The school seems to care more about its image then pupils health/good. Its more on the autocratic side with all its strict and outdated rules, thats in my opinion. Focus is high on just doing good on the exams and following rules rather then learning anything that will last longer then a week after exams. Finding what you really like as student is really hard due to lack of things to do and strict rules which limit what you can do. Focus is put on punishing students for not following rules rather then focusing on the reasons that led to it. There is barelly any place to rest during breaks, no place to sit down, as most places are overcrowded. The strict enforcement of uniforms is horrible during summer... At least for me it was. The uniforms are also bad, but thats just my preference. Being one of the student in the past, I have been there since year 7 (2009) to Sixthform (2015) and I don't recommend the school, as it feels like I learned nothing and just waisted my youth years trying to follow unrealistic standards. The atmosphere in the school was fake, in a sense that they constantly say they care about students ect, but the important problems that bother students are not really being solved. The school also does not have a slightest idea how to get to student that are less prone to being at the center of attention, very uncreative in a ways of getting to students. Most teachers are friendly but not as creative in their subjects (there are few exceptions). Bullying is not that apparent (physical anyway) , as most places are monitored which has its drawbacks, as it is hard to find place where you don't feel like everyone is watching you, making it kind of stressful not to feel judged. This is why I said the school cares more about its image, on paper, they have resources, monitoring, good offstead reviews?, canteen, uniforms, music, art facilities, rules etc. But there is not much freedom for students to explore their passions in their own ways as everything is scripted and lack flexibility, any small jump from the school rules result in pointless, illogical punishments, results is all that matters, and individualism is far on priority list. Might not be the worst school, but certainly there are schools with better priorities.

It's an alright school I suppose. You're not loaded with homework right from the get go and leads you in slowly and surely. If you get yourself into the wrong groups then things like theft will happen from time to time but it's not really the schools fault if you leave your things unattended. The fire alarm is set off quite a bit which can be annoying. I would complain about the food but it isn't run by the school itself. Overall if you're looking for help then asking the right teacher really makes a difference. I believe that if you go here it can provide you with the help you need if you seek it but some students can be rowdy and annoying all the way through.

People saying they got paid to write a review are such lying idiots. Rooks Heath is nothing but an excellent school. The teachers at RH should be role models for others, because they work their hardest, they always go that extra mile (shout out to Corzberg) for the students and their ability to understand and forgive the students is beyond measure! The atmosphere our teachers create is what any school should have.

Want your child to grow up hating themselves because they're under pressure with school? Then rooks heath is the school for your child. No one is treated equally. The canteen is an disgrace. 50% of the students get kicked out for stupid reasons and are now schooless with nothing to look forward to. WORST SCHOOL YOUR CHILD COULD BE EDUCATED.

3/ 5

The school has lots of cages where you can play football, basketball and other sports and most teachers are generally nice. However, the breaks are far too short, the food in the rookery is ridiculously expensive and there are lots of bullies who never allow you to enjoy your time at school. Overall, it is a good school and I'm happy to be part of it.
