Rockfish – Exmouth

The best restaurant I've eaten in for ages. Beautiful and quirky inside with amazing sea views. And the food was fantastic, so fresh and prepared in an open kitchen. Hard to get a walk in table, booking recommended. A must try!

Excellent service and wonderful food. I was there with friends some weeks ago. We all enjoyed our starters and main courses. I would not bother with a dessert in future but would recommend the fish dishes

We have just been to this restaurant for a nice Sunday lunch. Coming from London with my family we were looking for a REAL fish restaurant and this place exceeded our expectations. Fish is superb, fresh and tasty! They were able to offer gluten free version of every single dish which for me is a huge bonus as I’m celiac. The service was spot on, waitresses are really professional and always happy to serve you, really impressed with their customer service! Definitely recommended, a little gem in Exmouth. We will come back!

Food was excellent and priced well we had Dover Sole which was one of the specials of the day and scallops as a starter which were to die for. Both were really fresh and cooked to perfection. Overall good service staff are very polite and made us feel welcome Only one observation we were seated near the window and it was a hot bright sunny day. There were no blinds so it was slightly uncomfortable. Not a major problem just a " maybe consider it comment" looking forward to a re-visit

One of the best. This is located right next to the harbour mouth with a large car park right next to it. Dog friendly which was a must for us. Everything from starter to desert was delicious and really well priced. The varied menu will cover any budget and caters for vegetarians or vegans. Finally the staff are really friendly and helpful making for a great atmosphere.

We had a lovely couple of hours at Rockfish, Exmouth. Smiley and prompt service. Choose the Christmas menu and was delighted with it. So much good food! We had the day's catch and it was the biggest plaice we had seen in a long time and so fresh. Our only suggestion was that both dessert options were very rich and we would have preferred something lighter. But a great 'deal' and look forward to their next one. We are frequent visitors to all the Devon branches but Exmouth is our favourite. We will be back before too long!

I emailed ahead to ask if we could have a nice table if possible for my fiancees birthday and we got one of the best tables and service we've ever had in a restaurant. The food was excellent and it was overall a brilliant experience. Unlimited chips were a bonus! It was our first time in Exmouth & Rockfish and because of this meal, we cannot wait to come back and visit both again. Highly recommended.

We popped in on the quest of beautiful local fish and wow was that delivered! We had scallops and a pint of prawns to start which were wonderful and fish and chips for mains which surpassed any fish and chips I’ve eaten before. The curry mushy peas are something I feel my partner will talk about forever. He definitely enjoyed them. This was all brought together by our amazing waiter Barry, he talked through the menu with precision and he was so friendly. We had a few lovely chats throughout the visit and it made it a lovely experience.

Very good restaurant, worth booking in advance as it always busy. Freshest seafood from local sources. Book the terrace! We had Devon crab - one of the best I have had. Grilled mackerel was very good too. Friendly and swift service, thank you!
