Rick’s Diner oxford

Love this cafe! The people who work here are amazing--beyond customer service, they are really nice, friendly people. The food is delicious and the space has a mellow but lively energy with an open, airy feel. It's a perfect spot for writing or meeting friends for coffee or lunch.

... Food is more 4/10. For the price you would expect more quality. 7/8 quid for a breakfast consisting of super greasy fried hash brown and cheap white bread slice just isn't good enough. Coffee wasn't great either, served in a dirty cup and saucer, off putting. Table was clearly dirty but despite that wasn't given a wipe down before giving us a pot of not so clean cutlery. One previous review hit the hammer on the head "eating here felt really disgusting" Staff seem nice but the biggest issue is the hygiene. WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE HYGIENE! Lots of dust, hair and bits of food dotted around is unsettling. Shame really... Best of luck.

I love this place, they do a really good full english breakfast and my girlfriend really likes the pancakes. They've recently renovated and it looks better than even.

The food is always fantastic — whether it's for breakfast in the morning or cake and tea in the afternoon. I always get surprised by the variety of cakes on offer and can never resist! The mood inside is great and the staff is absolutely legendary: we need more places like Rick's in our lives! A special thank for the Northern-American sociology student whose name I missed and who was literally the best waitress/human being we've ever had in our lives — come for the food, stay for the nice chat! :)

I'd been to Rick's a good few times before my last visit and had always really enjoyed the food. This time, however, following an apparent rebranding as a more upmarket cafe, I found that the hot sandwich I ordered was perfectly well toasted on the outside but unfortunately it was largely cold on the inside. The ingredients seemed like they would have been delicious had they been heated up properly. Felt like a bit of a let down after paying a fiver for the sandwich.

Best burgers and fries that I have never had! Especially I will recommend the Chicken Guaca Burger which is my favorite there. Also the milkshakes and coffees are really good and nice served. Try it and you won’t stop going back for it..

After having an issue with my order from home the restaurant’s staff make their best to find a solution. This is unprecedented in my own experience and speaks tons of the concern of this restaurant for their customers. 5/5 stars.

Very simple diner with decent food, big filling portions. Good coffee, serve fresh juices too!
