The double bed had a significant body impression or dip. So much so that I slept in the single bed in order to get some sleep. The bed needs to be replaced. I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs as there was no lift/ elevator. Noise from people talking at night outside the room reverberated easily into the room as the area is an enclosed courtyard surrounded by 2 story brick. Perhaps a heavy curtain over door and windows would help.

Room was spacious and clean. The pool and pool area is a great spot to relax. Hotel is central to the main Street, with plenty of variety with food options. All staff were courteous and obliging with any requests. In fact, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was most comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Highly disappointed in this hotel after having driven for 15 hours to get to Mildura and arriving close to midnight l needed a hotel with 24 hour reception. I checked into the grand and was given my key to a room when l got to it there were no mattresses on the beds go back down stairs to get given a key to another room. I have been down graded from a queen room to a single 🤬. Back down stairs l go only to be asked do l have someone else with me, not the point l have paid for a queen room. Not another one available apparently so l go back to the single room🤬. It was filthy a ring of dirt around the base of the bedside lamp, the furniture was scuffed and stained. The bathroom had moisture marks on the walls the bottom of the shower was marked and stained. Considering l have heard people say they loved their stay at the Grand l will not be one of them. To top it all off when l go down stairs in the morning to hand in my key l was told by reception that the house cleaning crew is new and they cant keep up. Its just not good enough if they cant keep up employ more people or train them better. I wouldn’t give them any stars the room was awful and so was my stay. Not the best way to spend $105, l was initially charged $175 lm supposed to be getting a $70 refund. I shall wait and see if it happens.

Not overly impressed. I loved that the building has such a long standing history, but sadly it’s not restored to a level that could reflect the beauty it once had. Service was friendly enough, however the rooms overlooking the Main Street were very loud. Waited for hours to have our room cleaned which wasn’t done very well. Rooms walls were chipped and damaged. Overall it was an average stay.

Very convenient location. While a grand old building, the rooms aren't the best. No opening windows for fresh air. Slippery and dangerous bathroom floor. Maybe not all rooms are same as ours, probably quite a mix in a large old place like this.
