My family and l are currently staying here. We chose to stay at the Marriott because we had stayed here before, about 4 years ago and we really enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 4 and are staying in a double room. The room itself is nice, decent amount of space. The bathroom is also decent but the toilet is awkwardly situated right into the corner of the wall, doesn't leave much space. Breakfast offered a good variety. I'm most disappointed about the pool being permanently closed as that was one of the primary reasons why we chose this hotel. The kids were so disappointed as they were really looking forward to using the facilities. If we had known about the pool being closed, we would have opted to stay elsewhere. The village hotel is very closeby and offers what the Marriott does but with the leisure facilities too. Not sure l will be returning here in future.

Room was great. We had a family room Portchester suite. Plenty of room. Evening meal was dreadful and the restaurant staff simply didn’t handle things well. The next day breakfast was very nice and I mentioned the difference to the front of house team who then made a gesture regarding the evening meal. I’d stay again but wouldn’t eat or drink their.

4/ 5

Last minute booking as everything else in Portsmouth was fully booked on Bank Holiday weekend. However, great services and stay. One night cost us a bit more, so we stayed in and enjoyed room service (food and drinks from hotel restaurant). Clean spacious room, kind helpful staff. Located 10min from Portsmouth City centre. Close to shops tho.

Clean, spacious room, excellent facilities and ice cold air con on one of the hottest days of the year. The breakfast was delicious also. Particular thanks to David on the front desk for swiftly resolving an issue with my booking in (that was my fault) and doing so in the polite and friendly manner that he and all staff seem to have here.

Good sized rooms although having an inside room meant the room was rather dark. Breakfast was good with a decent variety. Plenty of on site parking.
