Optical Express Laser Eye Surgery & Opticians: Brighton brighton

Staff knew what they were doing and explained everything clearly. My operation was done in Bluewater with a very reassuring surgeon and took a total of about 8 minutes and I am now recovering quickly, as planned. At times some staff were a bit cold but over all I had a good experience.

On seeing Optical Express Poster i decided that I wanted rid of my glasses and hopefully have 20/20 vision. The Brighton office is busy and after completing a online health form I was seen by Ophthalmologist Chandri Patel, who I must say was professional and concise. Her verdict was that I am not a candidate for surgery as I would not benefit and to come back in 5-8 years. I respected Dr Patel findings as honest and true. Two days later I received an email and 2 phone calls from Claire Donnelly, offering me Refractive Surgery after she had reviewed my notes, this is a customer service agent telling me I am suitable for Surgery. Dr Chandri Patel said I was not suitable, so why does a customer service agent say I am, Money not suitability. This is not a good policy Optical Express, that untrained agents make this decisions.

Free eye test with voucher, nice enough experience. The front door to the building is annoying, and the door to the exam room is paper thin so everyone's conversations can be heard both ways. No problems with staff on my visit.

Most unhelpfull uniformed staff I ever seen in my life. Lady behind a desk quoting some prices out of the blue, then when challenged she's trying to defend herself saying she not really here to discuss prices for laser surgeries. Then she's trying to tell me if consumer service contacts me to let them know that I missed that appointement???? Because that's what she's about to mark in the system. I left absolutely stunned and fuming..... You would have think they will do their best to help you.... But not in here..... Don't bother go somewhere else.... USELESS!!!!!

Outstanding customer service, Debbie has really turned this place around and gave me all the help i needed prior to my surgery. The optometrist Chandni was also very informative, so much so that i booked with her again at the crawley branch where Debbie also works part of the week.

Visited optical express today and the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I went to for a consultation for either laser or replacement lenses. After spending a decent amount of time with me they did not try and sell their service, but in fact in my situation they said they would not recommend a corrective procedure as my eyes would not benefit fully at this point in my life. I left appreciating the honesty and integrity the staff and eye specialist showed. I am certain I will go back in the future when my eyesight starts to struggle. Thank you again

Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Answer all of your questions, no matter how small or silly. Very knowledgeable and very informative. The surgery went well and I just wish I had done it sooner!

Thank you to Chan who explained everything to me in a way that wasn’t condescending and answered all my questions about my fears. Thank you to Debbie who did not put any pressure on me about making a decision and has been answering all of my emails in a timely and kind manner. I am nervously looking forward to my surgery but I know I am in good hands with the Brighton clinic. I hope it will be the same in Dartford.

Fantastic experience from 1st consultation, to having LASEK at Harley St & my follow ups with the Brighton clinic. Brighton staff were great during the follow ups, answering all my questions (which i had a lot of following surgery). 10/10 its a cliché but wish i had laser eye surgery years ago.
