A functional place with 'interesting' decor. Friendly, but foul mouthed staff. The railway line across the road is a little noisy. My bathroom was completely flooded when I arrived. Comfy bed with good TV and tea-making facilities.

Absolutely amazing hotel, one of the best I have stayed at ever! The place is like the Hilton only much much cheaper! We loved the staff to the point of actually wanting to take them home... Food was amazing and Egon Rooney couldn't match this place in a month of Sundays...

Absolutely brutal customer relations. We have left a couple of calls and left messages (long distance expense to us, and sent emails, but no one picks up, nor do they return our inquiries.) We had saved our hard earned money to visit England at the beginning of May, 2020. Due to the COVID shutdown and subsequent flight cancellations, we were unable to travel from Canada. We had booked accommodations across England and Scotland. Each and every place we booked, refunded our money, no questions asked. Even though most of them had a no refund policy in effect at the time of booking, they were gracious enough to realize that this unprecedented world crisis left travellers in the lurch. We can't wait to visit England and Scotland when the crisis is over, and we will rebook all of our original places to stay, except Oceans. Shame on you for taking advantage of the people who spend their hard earned money on your business, only to be treated like this.

Past comments was not how I found this hotel, it was cleaner than some of my local public places. Room was huge with sofa and hotel was next to railway line with the seaview. Yes, it could do with been slightly more modern. Which would bring in more revenue. Some inprovements have been made. 😊
