Close to the beach and restaurants, cafes and bars. Staff were friendly and efficient. Car parking is extra and a bit tight but parking in the street is difficult so worth it. Room was modern and clean with tea and coffee facilities. No mini bar but room service is quite fast. Linen was fresh and clean and bed is comfortable. This is a nicer hotel than Noahs and worth the higher room price.

Old and smelly rooms, the fridge smelt very bad, there was no wifi my entire stay. The staff were not as helpful apart from Caleb? Make up room just means towel changes and fixing the bed. Your trash, old coffee takeaway cups etc will still be there when you get back. Plates and glasses left on the floor outside from my Saturday check in were still there on my Monday check out. No towels at the sauna area either. Check out wasn’t smooth. Waited for at least 10 minutes there with no acknowledgment- only 1 person on the phone and the manager in the office. Wasn’t until she saw me annoyed and about to say something that she said “hi, sorry” AND then charged the wrong card after we confirmed the last 4 digits of the card to charge. Just poor for $330-$340 a night. Parking isn’t even included. We had friends staying in the hotel as well that weekend who has the same comments.

Very popular venue for weddings and business functions. Staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious dinner and drinks. Located near Newcastle beach, surrounded by cafes and restaurants, hotels and boutique bars and health and beauty centres. Also lovely parks and gardens. Off-street parking, spa gym. Good location. Usually Novotel are a decent chain, yet not at this hotel. Very plain hotel, run down & dirty bathroom and noisy room. Decent location although overpriced for what you get. Not worth the cost, other places near Honeysuckle are much better. I’ll look elsewhere next time, as seemed to have deteriorated in the past few years.

Room was nice. Modern, well layed out, spacious and clean. Almost seemed a little sterile in its appearance but a comfortable night stay. The kettle had water in it which was surprising and looked like one of the toiletries had been used pre my visit. Overall a pleasant night although I would classify it as quite expensive and a reminder car parking is extra.
