NOVI cambridge

Have been to this place as both a cocktail bar and as the restaurant during the day and can say it is lovely as both. During the day the food is great and speedy as well as being dog friendly. At night the cocktails are great with a great atmosphere where you can talk and relax.

Novi has a chilled atmosphere, even on busy Friday and Saturday evenings. Cocktails are always good here- they do a seasonal cocktail menu and know all the classics. It's also lovely in the summer when the front windows are opened up and the restaurant feels like it's outside. Staff are always nice and friendly, but sometimes service is slow!

We hired the 2nd floor function room for a 50th birthday and we had the best time! We had a live band and dance floor, as well as canapes and a fully stocked bar. Faye and Matt were really helpful and accommodating and couldn't have been better hosts. Thank you!!

A nice bar towards the top of town. Cocktails were well made and there were plenty of staff there to manage Friday night business. The downstairs area is incredibly loud, there is little in the way of soft furnishings to soak up noise and even when there were still spare seats, it was difficult to hear conversation. Exceptional espresso martini.

Got the red berry smoothie with the American waffle brunch and the partner got the avocado on sour dough bread. Absolutely divine meals. 100% worth visiting. Very clean tables, lovely staff, have their own toilets also. Will definitely be returning

TL;DR - Good product, terrible service. I’ve been to NOVI 3 times. The food and drinks are good to (sometimes) great, albeit a little overpriced. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. My first 2 times, the bouncer was horrible. Very unpleasant and unwarranted at a mid-tier cocktail bar trying to masquerade as a high-tier one. Bad vibes. My most recent visit was marred by the man behind the bar refusing to give me the oh so generous 2 for £12 cocktail deal because it had just gone past 7pm. This was annoying given the fact I had been waiting at the bar since 5 minutes before the hour. Hard to wrap my head around as to why this was thought to be the right strategy. Strange. In conclusion, good but definitely not great.

Cocktail masterclass- brilliant experience set up and run by mixologist Micheal. He was enthusiastic and answered all of our questions with regards to the art of cocktails very thoroughly. This is a great idea for a social event or gift. Thanks Micheal for making it a really memorable experience!

Great ambiance and location. AJ, Jim and Alex were very welcoming and accommodating. Top floor is fantastic.
