had surgery here a few weeks ago. All was excellent - nurses, doctors, aftercare. Quite confused by the bad reviews. I was with BUPA so not sure if that makes a difference. But I received really excellent care in great facilities.

Excellent service! The midwives in the delivery department and post natal ward are incredibly helpful, very supportive but also firm. The improvements are quite noticeable and staff are well aware of the reputation needed to be upheld. Very caring and always ready to help. Unfortunately I wish the same could be said for the midwives during night duty in the antenatal ward.

I gave birth two times at Newham hospital and I had a wonderful experiences and I am very grateful for this Everything was just perfect The only downside was with my second pregnancy I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I ‘ve been looking after different doctors and they all had a different way to deal with my situation and I often got lost and I didn’t know what was good for me I lost weight and baby wasn’t growing ! Eventually they induced me. They should make sure to give to the same patient the same doctor, to make things smooth and clear Apart from this I highly recommend this hospital

I'm happy with the treatment I received last week when I came with my son. But it is like this all the days of good doctors and nurses.

Also puzzled by poor reviews. A busy inner city hospital with all the challenges which go with that. Hospitalised with a punctured lung and found the nurses & doctors helpful & conscientious despite understaffing pressures.

If there was an awards ceremony for worst hospital in the UK, this place would win each category by a mile. I honestly don't know where to start. The staff who welcome you are the rudest most arrogant people I have ever encountered in a public service. I was sent here by my GP for an emergency scan and they literally did not want to know. The bloods were horrendous - I had to ask them to remove the drip attachment because they had placed it in so badly and it was agony. After waiting in the dirty, cold, depressing waiting area for 9 HOURS I was finally seen and told they would not be scanning me, even though I had an urgent referral. 3 weeks later and I've had to pay to go private and now awaiting another emergency scan at a different hospital half way across the country because... And I quote... "THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE WEEKS AGO." If you can get a cab or family member to take you to any other hospital in the whole of London, I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. It really is not worth your time, effort or pain. If you do decide to go, then seriously - good luck.

They saved my life! all very thoughtful, kind and pleasant. I went through all the wings (unfortunately) from the resuscitation room to the bedrooms on the second floor and I can say that everything has a lot of quality! Everything was very clean! you feel in good hands! the food is not bad either! The only thing I would change is that the resuscitation area is very cold, I was very cold there.

I live in Wales but was visiting London for a get together with my daughter and son. I had to visit the emergency department on the morning of December 11, 2021, when I became very unwell. I would like to say a huge thank you for the care I received from the hospital staff. They are obviously under tremendous pressure but the kindness and compassion from the medics, receptionists and housekeeping team was exceptional. I was also impressed by the standard of medical care I received. Thank you Newham Hospital.

Zero stars. One hour since I have been waiting to be seen by a doctor, it is a scheduled appointment. Keep on asking the receptionists and they say the doctor is aware I am waiting. My first time here, took me four months to get an appointment with a specialist
