I really like this hotel. It’s always a joy to visit and I wish them the best of luck with overcoming the challenges presented by COVID. Worth visiting, it’s a real gem.

Beautiful place with relaxing calming spaces to rejuvenate. Thoroughly recommend this place for a stay or even just a drink or meal and stroll around the grounds.

Stopped by on our walk to have a look around the gardens and get 2 lattes and 2 cinnamon danish pastries - £7. Newhall Hotel was looking stunning in the afternoon sunshine. Great time to visit as nobody else was in the queue. A very Covid safe efficient way to place order and collect items. Quite a few outdoor benches around the grounds. Really worth a visit. Currently open Saturday and Sunday.

The staff definitely make New Hall Hotel special. They are all wonderfully friendly, take pride in what they do and there is always a lovely atmosphere, which enhances the stunning surroundings. As a leisure member I really value my membership and look forward to my time there. Thank you to all of the staff who make this place so fantastic.

This review is purely a review of the lunchtime service at the restaurant. We did not use any other facilities... I cannot really describe the experience with any other word apart from "random". Although the food was priced realistically and also tasty, the service was really a bit of a disaster, despite the restaurant being virtually empty. Enthusiastic but under-skilled wait staff need more training to get even the basic things correct. They would benefit from half a day of management instruction to prevent the following issues… Knowledge of the small menu was limited - with much running back and forth to the kitchen to check on flavours of sorbet and availability of drinks. We ordered one salad - but two came. Water with ice was ordered - and it arrived with no ice. Starters and mains were ordered to arrive simultaneously - there was a 25 minute gap between them, leaving some of our party waiting for food when others had finished. When served, there seemed to be no knowledge of which side-dishes accompanied which mains. Plates from starters and mains remained on the table during desert, and empty glasses were not collected without prompting. Coffee pots arrived but with no cups - so we got them ourselves from another table.

Beautiful place for a wedding. Hospitality was fantastic and food was beautiful. The only tiny niggle, was the veggie evening food could have done with being a little warmer and possibly a different flavour profile to the starter!! Breakfast was amazing though.

Absolutely fantastic stay ! All the staff were so friendly and helpful, a hidden Gem that we never knew existed, Spa treatments and facilities were excellent. They really looked after us and our Puppy Rufus. We will definitely be returning soon.

We had our wedding at new hall on the 10/09/21. What can I say, just the most amazing place ever. The grounds are beautiful, the hotel itself is like a dream castle and the staff are just the best. Nothing was to much. We had the best day ever and we couldn’t have done it without everyone at new hall. Best place ever, recommend and thank you all of you involved with our wedding. You made it everything we always wanted.
