This is a scam. Do not enroll
My daughter recently completed A Level Classical Civilisation with NEC. The course is structured so that students can complete it at their own pace and she found all the resources clear. I was impressed by the quality of feedback she received from her tutor (I am a teacher). The feedback enabled her to make progress. She says that there was a lot more support available from her tutor that she didn't make use of - but she was glad it was there. I was also very happy with the administration of the course and exam. Responses to queries are reasonably quick and clear. They communicated regularly through the course. This is really sound distance learning and I am very happy with it. I am very confused by the negative reviews as our experience has been so positive.
I'm not a customer BUT.... remember, they're not offering you any actual tuition per se. In fact, they actually charge EXTRA for access to a tutor. This is another typical home learning scam no different to Learn Direct.
I had the displeasure of losing all of my money to this college some years ago, to find my work was not even marked, yet they took the whole fee giving me no grade at all.
Fake college This is not a college. All the staff are ancient and refuse use 21st century educational resources. A real disgrace. Not worth a penny. Waste your money
I have just completed 2 GCSE's with NEC as a mature student, Maths and Astronomy. I found the course material very indepth and well written, and both of my tutors were very knowledgeable and quick to help. I never had to wait long for a response. My experience was very positive and I would happily study with them again. I cannot for the life of me understand the reviews claiming the college is a "scam", it most definitely is not.
