Great site, My wife and I stayed there mid-week as it is easy to access the York Christmas market, and glad we did. Going mid week meant the site was quiet and traffic reasonable. The bus stop is at the entrance to the site. The little on-site shop carries the essentials and the staff very friendly and helpful. Going mid-week was both cheaper and avoided the Christmas crowds

We stayed at Naburn Lock for 4 nights but could have happily stayed longer. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The facilities are good and very clean. The pitches are the most spacious we've had anywhere and well maintained. Dogs are catered for with a field at the back and a handy shower for muddy paws. The weekend River Bus into York is a picturesque and hassle free way of getting into the city. We'll definitely be returning.

The Park is excellent. The pitches are screened off in blocks of eight. Mainly the park is quiet but we did have a minor B road at the back of our pitch though it wasn't too noisy. The fishing I wasn't too enamoured with, not being a river/canal angler. Especially when having to deal with boaters who considered themselves above all others.

Fantastic campsite, wardens friendly and helpful, pitch sizes are huge, excellent off lead dog exercise areas, plus the site is nice and quiet at night. Also easy access to York by river boat or a regular bus service that stops outside the site. We look forward to returning.

We are very disappointed - gutted even to find that this beautiful family campsite is thinking of moving to an adults only campsite . The owner already has an adult only campsite in York so why deprive families of the opportunity to stay at this site, visit the historic city of York and it’s amenities and have feel that their children are safe when playing . We were going to site our van here next year but now looks like we can’t as we have 3 grand children who sometimes come to stay So disappointed
