From the shop window to the top storey this book shop is filled with delights. Not just bookshelves either. The quirky displays and conveniently placed comfy chairs make browsing a homely pleasure. In fact one feels at home in this place!! The knowledgeable and helpful assistants add to that feeling of welcome. Even paying for ones choices seems not to be onerous!! Well worth a visit, but don't expect to come away empty handed!

Despite rooms and rooms full of books, it's clear that each book is chosen with care. Fabulous selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and delights on every shelf. Don't miss a floor! I am also dreaming about signing up for a Reading Spa-- personalized "bookish pampering" complete with cake. I love the staff recommendations and the Hall of Fame choices especially!

I have a known weakness for book stores and will find and visit one in every town or city I go. Of course I'll go to one to get my Bath souvenir from. Now, there's book stores, and then there's that special league where Mr. B's falls in (or shall I say "rises in"). The full name is "Mr B's Emporium of Reading Delights" and it just says it all -- it's a candy shop for the soul. Everything in and about it is pretty and carefully thought of and cute and magical (even their restroom is pretty!!!) 3 floors of small cozy rooms with walls filled to the ceiling with books of every kind, and a staff that knows their stuff in and out, a pleasure to talk to.

Outstanding book shop! Much larger than expected - I actually didn't get to explore the whole place as I got so drawn in to certain interesting sections. Lovely touches such as the "think I heard it on Radio 4" display.

Love this bookshop and delighted to see it expand and do so well. This is a must go to place if you are in Bath. Wander around and enjoy the comments about the books attached to the shelves. They offer a tailored service to help you find new authors and titles. Plus an inspired idea for a gift. You buy the gift, they fill in a questionnaire and receive a book recommended for them every month. You can choose 3 or 6 months and they arrive packaged in brown paper and string. How brilliant is that? Fabulous helpful staff, a joy!

Lovely place with a friendly atmosphere. Came today along with visiting another bookshop. It was lovely and the kids room was very sweet 😊 I liked that it was interactive in the kids room with a little door on the tree with a worm reading inside . Also they had cards ,stationary and gift wrap along with board games which I’ve never seen before! I scouted this place out for a trip with a lot of book buying and we are Sure we’ll come back soon ! Best of luck to this wonderful shop! (Also I should note that they had books I haven’t been able to find anywhere else as they are out of stock there so worth a look if you are looking for a book)

I signed my husband up for the gift subscription. It was a huge success. he loved every book. I kept waiting for a dud but he thoroughly enjoyed all six. Excellent service and even though we live abroad and, despite covid, never had to wait too long for the next month's book. Super service and can not recommend highly enough.

Oh my goodness, what a completely wonderful bookshop. It's so big, yet so intimate, every room in its labyrinthine layout beautifully presented, with such an obvious love for the books being sold. The staff are bursting with knowledge and enthusiasm, making the place so welcoming. Just my ideal bookshop, never seen anything like it outside of Chicago.
