I visited Moss side leisure centre earlier this week, this was my first visit after 26 years. I was very impressed with the customer service I received from Jackie at the front desk. She gave me some very useful information and made me feel welcome. The changing rooms were clean and it wasnt crowded, regardless it being school holidays. The pool itself is really big and you have plenty of space to do laps even when other children and families are playing. I will be visiting again very soon.

Spin classes take place in the main gym area with a massive speaker. The teacher couldn't hear themselves so instead of turning the music down, which would make sense in a 10ft area, they bought a microphone headset so they can be even louder. Might as well try to work out in a nightclub, the music is so loud you're unable to listen to your own music on your headphones. Would suggest to look to avoid these times but they seem to be most nights. Don't get me wrong, there's usually more people in the spin class than the gym so I understand it taking priority but it still sucks.

Moss Side Leisure Centre is probably the best fitness centre I've ever been a member of. I go at least a few times a week and mainly take the classes, which are really varied and great-quality, especially those by Andrea and Shamila. They're both excellent at what they do and very professional and make the classes worthwhile, interesting and even fun. I'm a reluctant exerciser but they have really encouraged me to keep up a routine regime and sometimes I even look forward to it (not like me at all!) I also use the swim for fitness sessions, steam rooms and sauna and they're always clean and attended by life guards etc who are really vigilant and helpful. I'd definitely recommend Moss Side for a regular membership, 100%. Thanks to all the folks here who work so hard.

I use the centre to play badminton in both the main and small halls upstairs. I have been to plenty of other badminton halls.around Manchester and this is one of the best - high ceilings, non-slip floors and lights that don't blind you! This place looks great since it was extensively renovated a few years back.

For a public leisure centre this place is great! Recently underwent renovations so it's all completely new & clean. 25m pool. Gym. Classes. There's also a library attached. You become a member online & book classes via the app which is super handy. Private changing rooms, showers & lockers require £1. There's games courts too. So much! Good value too, I pay £28pm for pool, gym & classes access. Health suite (sauna & steam room) cost extra.

Horrible place. We booked a 2 hour session for Volleyball, was charged for it, and received a confirmation that the court is booked one week in advance, and when we showed up, we were told that a volleyball booking did not exist and that there was only a badminton booking. We wanted to speak to a manager or a person-in-charge, but there was no one. After waiting one week, being charged money, and we were dripping wet from the rain to arrive at the center, we were forced to leave with nothing. Horrible top management. The front desk was nice to us, but this screw up is because of irresponsible people at the top.
