Great for travel vaccinations, especially for children. We went here to get additional travel jabs with our 3 year old. Nathan the pharmacist was wonderful at calming our daughter down with breathing exercises before giving her the vaccine. He even did impressive magic tricks to reward her bravery afterwards...and a wonderwoman "I've been brave sticker". This made it a more worthwhile experience in her eyes. For us, it was the most painfree injections we've ever had...and we've had lots of injections over the years! Couldn't recommend more. Thank you Nathan

I would describe this pharmacy as the worst I ever visited. Filling in the exemption certificate incorrectly resulting in me being fined. At first I thought it was a nice gesture, to fill in the form on my behalf. Arriving to collect emergency supply of drugs for my wife, being told they weren't available. How that works, I've no idea. Persistently being asked to collect drugs from a repeat prescription, only to arrive at the store to be told they aren't available to collect. One of the pharmacist I would describe as hopeless.

I bought a small wrist splint from Monkbar pharmacy a few days ago, which proved too big. I wore it for a few hours before giving up and switching to a stretchy bandage (which I had also previously purchased from Monkbar). I had kept the original packaging and brought it back to return, but was told I couldn't return it as it had a "blood stain" on it. The attendant pointed through the plastic bag at a small orange speck which was quite obviously not blood. (How many wrist sprains result in bleeding???) When I got home and took the splint out of the bag, it turned out it was a fleck of lint -- not surprising as I remember I was wearing an orange and white striped shirt when I bought it. I'm going to donate the splint to the hospital, and start shopping at a pharmacy where the staff are less rude

Staff are always kind and helpful, and they have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions - including sourcing and ordering an overseas alternative to my medication when it was temporarily unavailable UK wide. I first came across them because, when I was calling round pharmacies to try and resolve that unavailable medication issue, multiple other pharmacists in York suggested that I try Monkbar as they are really good :) By far and away the most helpful pharmacy I've ever come across.
