Unfortunately this surgery has gone down hill, I lived in Mickleover all my live. Once you get appointment which can take months the nurse's are OK, as no Doctors appointments you can't get anymore. As they don't have many now. So I have to go alot to a walk in centre in Swadlincote, but that is our world now unfortunately. To many people in our system. Some of the receptionist are up them self's I do find also. They never answer the phone or reply to there online system. So we have no hope.

I’ve been a patient at this practice since I was born (almost 32 years!) and I’ve seen it through ups and downs over the years. I see a lot of people moaning about not being able to get an appointment with the new system changes and I do experience this at times as well but when I do get seen I have no complaints about the doctors or the service that I have received. Any doctor that I have seen, bar the odd bad experience, has always taken the time to listen with care and really that’s what I want from my doctor. I feel very lucky that these are my doctors!

I am so disappointed with the surgery. I’m currently a patient with multiple health problems at the moment needing support, and not only does it take up to 30 mins to get through on the phone , i can never get an appointment when I need one urgently-and multiple times I’ve had to go to the walk in centre due to this. So disappointing and feeling very let down. By one particular doctor too. I work in the healthcare sector and know what patients need, and this surgery Is not giving the patients what we need.

I live in dispair when ever I have to try and get an appointment. The service is so poor your best bet is to drive to Calais and seek help from another European country while you can.

We've been with them for some time now and they way they operate is more of a joke! Prepare yourself for long wait (usually more than ONE HOUR) even with the midwife or the nurse!! They never apologies to you for wasting hours of your time. We had to re-book vaccination, because the nurse simply forgot to order (although she claimed otherwise!). To book for an appointment also deemed impossible as the usual next slot will be weeks away. We do not recommend this place to anyone

It is near impossible to get an appointment even if you call 40+ times. I was sent for the wrong examination, a pointless waste of my time, only to be told oh its because you've transferred doctors. I have been unwell for the best part of a year, still don't know why and have just been informed in a cold telephone manner that my test results for the latest test were negative so the doctor won't be calling and if I'm still unwell I'll need to try to book an appointment at 8am again.

Worse service! No hope of getting an appointment after 8am. Online appointment system always fully booked. And when they give you a telephonic appointment, you better pick up within seconds as they hang up almost immediately, and there is no way to call back. (P.S I am trying to get a prescription for the last 2 months now!)

If I can rate this place negative stars, I would The phone line is usually inaccessible. Throughout 40+ times I have called, I have only managed to get through 3 times, with one time being left on the line while no staff picked it up and were all chatting. One of them was even SINGING - if this is not unprofessional, I don’t know what is The only time I managed to get booked for a phone appointment with the GP (under the current protocol of the practice, you cannot schedule a face-to-face GP appointment unless he finds the needs to do so in the phone call due to Covid reasons, which is interesting because nurse appointment is going face-to-face as usual), I was told that the GP can call anytime and they would not be able to offer any estimates on when the call would occur. I therefore needed to stand by and attend to the phone all day from the early morning And if you miss the call, you are told that you miss the slot and hence need to try your luck calling in the centre for an appointment the next day (there is only same-day appointment). The whole process is very frustrating and it is upsetting to think that primary care in the U.K. could be so inaccessible

Highly disappointed. Very hard to get in contact with, very generic answers and no real help. The best thing they can do is refer you to a different place (as long as you can spare some weeks to wait for that). Not recommended.

Myself and my family have received excellent care from this practice. It is easy to criticise GPS and nurses and this is exactly what this government wants as it presses more and more to privatise our NHS. All of you do a fabulous job and thank you so much for the care and attention we have received.
