Came here to return a parcel since the old branch at Lendal closed down. Expected a particularly slow service but was surprised at how quick my parcel was handled. Could do with a little bit of reorganizing in terms of selecting the packaging on the shelves but can't complain much. Staff were nice and helpful too.

The ownership has changed recently and I have attended on two occasions. It is obvious that the old management could upset some people. Whilst I agree there attitude was sometimes "OFF HAND" I think it was induced by financial strains and not contemptuous. The new owners deserve time to get matters back on track and my initial observations are that they are trying their hardest to put matters back on track.

The BEST small post office in the UK in my view - delightfully cheerful, completely efficient and very helpful staff - 5 STARS all round! Mr. Gautam and son Dhruv and family have taken over this local post office, and their cheerful and helpful attitude is a delight - although new to this post office in time they will perfect their systems and be the toast of Micklegate!
